Im awoken by the sun-rays coming through my silk-sheer curtains as I flutter my eyes to focus. Morning Already? hm..

I slowly sit up and stretch my arms into a huge yawn. I was still tired but, I knew It was still so early with the sunset entering my room. I think about getting something to eat but, sleeping in for another hour or two seemed to be the answer. I turned my back from the windows and I added back the blanket over me, and place my head on my pillow till a sudden noise of a truck, pulled me out of my sleepy conscious.

"Seriously!?" I groaned in irritation. Who in the hell would be up this early?!?

I sit back up and hear the sounds of moving boxes and furniture. I think about those must be the new neighbors next door unloading their stuff. Huh... I wondered who will be the newbie in town. I fake laughed.

This town is filled with Wealthy old-people who come here and live after coming from retirement and die, basically. I never understood why must my parents live in a neighborhood like this. Back where we used to live, didn't seemed crazy.

I get out my bed, and head towards the bathroom in my room. I glanced at the mirror and picked up my toothbrush and brushed away.

I came out the bathroom with a clean face and mouth, I grabbed the nearest hoodie and sweats to go downstairs. I see my parents left the door open, only to follow them. I walk out and see them helping out the next neighbors.

"Oh! Morning honey, can you help me and your father bring these things in for the next door neighbors?" Mom smiled and carried two boxes into the neighbors house.

I don't do boxes. I could chip my nail off if I lift a heavy box. Na uh.

"Come on pal, don't just sit pretty like you always do." My dad gave me the look and followed my mom.

"Ugh.. fine." I let out another irritated groan and grabbed a box. I walked inside the house as the house has that new home aroma. I put a box near the door and walked into the living room. Hm that was fast, there furniture is already placed. I wonder who brought this house.

"Ah, hello there pretty lady." A older man comes downstairs to greet me.

"Hello sir." I half smiled.

"You must be the pretty daughter your parents have told me." He pulls out his hand to me.

I gently shakes his hand and I laughed at his remark.

"Thank you.. Welcome to the neighborhood.... Mr?"
I said, trying to come up with his name.

"Mr. Tarun... And, I appreciate you and your parents helping me unpack my boxes for me. What can you really do with a sore back and a cane." He laughed and started walking towards the kitchen.

Tarun? Huh.. That last name sounds familiar.... Did I date a Tarun? Friends with one? Or enemies with one?
I thought more with the enemy thought as I followed Mr. Tarun and see my parents eating cookies and milk.

"Help yourself, young lady." Tarun gestured me.

Sweets in the morning? I'll pass. Guess we have another geezer living in this town.

"Oh, no thank you.. I just woke up, and not hungry yet." I smiled and scratched the back of neck.

"These cookies are amazing! Who made these?" My mom asked as she grabs another.

"Oh, I did. But with the help of my grandson... Speaking of me grandson, where is that fella?" Tarun said, looked out the window.

"You have a grandson?" My dad asked.

"Yes I do, I look after him, while his parents are away." Mr. Tarun said, grabbing a water bottle.

So, this old geezer lives with his grandson so, HIS grandson can watch him.

"How old is he? He must be a charmer." My mom laughs trying to butter up Mr.Tarun. Stop, mom. That's weirdly gross and Dad's right there.

"Oh, I wouldn't call him a Angel, but he has a good heart. He's done a lot of things and maybe, people don't give him a chance because, of his past.." Mr. Tarun said, looking down but smiles about the thought of his grandson.

Sounds something like me... But, I never done nothing crazy besides tell the truth to my girl group and they think, I'm some sort of hell-raiser, which I am... but, when needed.

"Say, why don't you guys come up over for dinner tonight? We can sure welcome the young fella and you to the neighborhood. I hope you watch football." My dad says and grins about the Football game that comes on later in the day. Great, guess I can't watch Scream Queens tonight. Figures, dad. I mental scowled him.

"That's a great Idea! I can cook something and we can all get to know each other! What you say?" My mom says with a smile. I know that smile, That smile means she gonna make something crazy.

"Yeah! And if you don't like the game, you can just blame the cooking and leave." Dad laughs and my mom puts her hands on hip, rolling her eyes.

"No dinner plate for you at table, then." My mom says with warning.

Mr. Tarun laughs and reassures my Mom that Dinner and a Football game would be great. He would make sure his grandson would be there, as well.

"Great! It's settled! See you tonight. If you need anything, we're always next door." My mom smiles and heads towards the door.

"It be great to have a another man in the house, watching Football with all these wome-" My dad says and gets interrupted by a threatening cough by my mother.

This is great. I'm having strangers in my home. Looks like I'll be in my room in the whole entire time.

"Bye Mr. Tarun!" I said, Following my parents out the door.

I walk on the grass to my Front-door and head to the kitchen for some, REAL food.

"Honey, you're being at the dinner table tonight." My mom says as if, it's the final word.

"MOM! Why do I have to be here? I don't care for new neighbors." I said, with irritation as I been irritated enough, and it's only the morning.

"Then, you won't eat. I only serve food for those who sit at the dinner table." My mom says, taking out ingredients for tonight.

"Fine, I won't eat." I said, crossing my arms.

"Then, that means I'll revoke your phone privileges. Simple as that." My mom says, adding more wood to the fire.

I sighed and claimed defeat as I agreed to my mom's request of staying for dinner. Not like I had anything better to do.

"Make sure to wear something other than, that." My mom voice sounds cheerful as she claims another victory.

"Yeah, yeah." I grabbed a corn muffin and orange juice to head upstairs.

I go to my room and look at the window to see a full sun is up and ready for today. I munched on some pieces of the muffin and laid down on my bed. I'm still sleepy from before.. Maybe, if I get some shut-eye I'll look half-interested with this new people. I don't want this be anymore of a pain it is. I say, and doze of to sleep.
