-Mina's POV-
"Here's your paycheck." My boss says as she handed me a check. I've been slaving away in a restaurant as a waitress for the past three years. With this check, I can finally go back to South Korea. I'm half Korean and half American. My name is Mina. I am 18 years old. I still live with my parents. I'm trying to save up enough money to find a place of my own. But where I live, it's hard to find the ideal house.Anyway, following high school graduation, I decided to take classes at a community college. I just finished my first year as a college student. I'm going to Korea all of next month. I'm so excited. I've only heard stories from my parents of what Korea is like. It's completely different from where I live. It'll be a change of pace, definitely.
"Excuse me, but that month of vacation time I have? I'd love to use it all next month." I asked my boss. She's known about this trip I've wanted to take. That's why I took the job three years ago.
"You can go, but only if you get someone to cover for you." My boss said. Crap, I thought.
I went outside to make a call. I desperately called my best friend, Kim. I really needed her now more than ever. We've been good friends ever since we were little. We always help each other in times of need.
"Hello?" She answered.
"Hey. I have a huge favor to ask of you." I pleaded.
"What's wrong?" She asked.
"I finally got enough money to go to Korea!" I practically screamed into my phone.
"Really? That's great!" My friend acknowledged.
"I know you're currently out of a job. So, could you possible fill in for me while I'm gone? I'll give you the money you make while I'm gone." I asked.
"Um..." She paused. My heart started racing.
"Yeah! I can totally help you! As long as I'm getting paid, I'm good." She chuckled.
"Thank you so much. I don't know ill ever repay you." I gave her my sincere gratitude.
"Well, technically you ARE paying me." Kim sassed at me.
"Hehehe~" I laugh awkwardly into the phone.
"I'll come over later tonight to get all of the stuff I need to cover for your job." Kim explains.
"Thank you thank you THANK YOU!" I screamed into my phone like an idiot.
"Hey! Stop yelling! You're welcome." She scolded me.
"See you later!" I exclaimed. She hung up the phone.
I went back into the restaurant and looked around for my boss. Soon enough, my eyes found her. I walked over to her.
"My best friend Kim will be taking my place when I go on vacation." I told her. I gave my boss everything she needed to contact my friend with.
"Thank you. Now go. You're shift is over. Book your flight to Korea. You earned it." My boss gave me a hug. I love my boss. She is one of those people in my life that really cares about me. I couldn't be more thankful for what she's done in my life.
"I guess I'll see you in a month. Bye!" I took off my apron and headed for the door.
"Be safe!" She tells me.
I practically run out of the restaurant and into my car. I start up my car and drive home.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
After being on the road for about 30 minutes, I finally reach my house. I get in my house and call out for my parents.
"Mom! Dad! I have great news!" I exclaimed.
"What is it?" My parents asked in unison.
"I finally have enough money to go to Korea!" I screamed, jumping up and down.
"Yay! I'm so proud of you!" My mother said, hugging me.
"You should be proud of your daughter. She's put in a lot of hard work." My father stated as he as well as my mother look at me with smiles in their faces.
"I'll call your grandparents. They'll be so excited to see you again!" My mother smiled.
-Flashback-
"Mom, I want to go back to Korea." I said as we got back home from our stay with my grandparents in Korea.
"You can go back when you get a little older. You're still just 13 years old." Mom informed me.
"We're also not the richest family," My father added, "You'll have to work hard when you get older in order to go back."
"Okay." I sighed.
"Don't worry," My mom comforted me, "You'll be back soon enough."
-End of Flashback-
I'm so excited to go back. I have so much to fill grandma and grandpa in about what has happened these past five years. I look up at my walls and I see the old photos of me with them and I smile. I look across my room to see my posters of the kpop groups that I love. My BTS poster catches my eye. Maybe I'll even get the chance to meet them in person when I get to Korea. Maybe I'll meet Jungkook, my bias. Now THAT would be a dream come true.

My 3rd fanfiction has officially begun! This is my first BTS fanfiction. It's been a hot minute since I've gotten inspiration for writing another fanfiction. But, I've been dragged dragged into the ARMY. I'm not a huge ARMY, but I appreciate their music. Does anyone have any song recommendations for me? I really want to get into BTS, but I haven't found the right song for me. Anyway, thanks for reading! Don't forget to comment and vote. I'll see you in the next update!
