(A/N): Hey everyone! Before this chapter begins, I just wanted to let you know that I appreciate you taking the time to read this fanfiction. I don't really get the time to write all that often. I'm writing a lot of this in advance so readers aren't kept waiting, like past stories. This will be good! Please stay with me!
-Mina's POV-
"Are you excited?" Kim said. She came over the night before my flight to help me pack.
"Of course! I get to see my grandparents again! It's been too long since I last saw them." I said, folding up more shirts to put in my luggage.
"Oh. Take this. You'll need it for work." I fold up my work apron and gave it to Kim. "Thank you so much by the way. I'll bring you something back from Korea to show my gratitude." I said. She just smiled back.
"Is that everything?" Kim asked.
"Yeah." I said as the feeling of accomplishment was sent throughout my body as I collapse onto my bed.
My room at this point is filled with luggage. I'm surprised that it only took my friend and I two hours to pack everything. We passed that time by listening to K-Pop. Blood, Sweat, and Tears came on and Kim looked at me.
"Oh my gosh! Didn't BTS announce a world tour not too long ago?" Name asked.
That's when I realized. They'll be in the United States, more specifically in California, where we both live. My eyes widened.
"You have to get a ticket!" Kim said.
"It's right after my flight from Korea. I can't go." I sighed. I really want to see them in concert.
"Well, we'll talk about that when you get home from Korea!" Kim smiled at me.
Kim grabbed my shoulders, giving me a feeling of comfort. This is the why we are such good friends. She's always there when I need her, whether it be small things like a concert to flying around the world to an almost unknown place.
"Well, you're all packed up for your flight." Kim says, looking sad.
"What's wrong?" I say, a look of worry develops on my face.
"I won't have my best friend here with me." She says as she hugs me.
"I'll be back soon enough. Don't worry about it." I smile while she releases the hug.
"I'm actually kind of nervous. I've never flown alone on a plane before. To add to that, from the airport I'm taking off from, it'll be a 14-hour flight, non-stop from California to Korea." I tell Kim.
"That'll just make me worry even more! Stop talking about it!" She hugs me again, tightly.
"Okay I'll stop!" I attempt to console her. "Hey. I have an idea. Why don't we watch a movie to relax the both of us?"
"I'm down for a movie. What do you have?" Kim asks me.
Let's see. I look around the TV to see if I can find any movies laying around because I'm too tired to tear through the house trying to find a movie. I notice the pink case out of the corner of my eye. It's in a stack of PlayStation games. I pick it out and it was just was I suspected it was: Legally Blonde.
"Do you want to watch this?" I ask Kim. Her eyes widen.
"You know we both love Legally Blonde!" Kim says with enthusiasm.
I put the movie into the DVD player and we watch Legally Blonde. I do love this movie a lot. I love the final scene in the courtroom. I've even memorized Elle Woods' monologue! (A/N: I'm not going to give any spoilers, just in case anyone hasn't seen the movie that wants to.)
By the time the movie was over, Kim and I noticed that it was getting very late.
"Hey, you should probably go. It's really late." I say to Kim.
"Text me when you get on the plane and when you land in Korea." She hugs me one last time. I walk her to the door.
"I will. Goodbye!" I wave to her as she leaves my house.
"See ya!" She yells back.
I decided to go back into the house and turn the TV off. I lay out my outfit for tomorrow because I'm taking an early morning flight. I get in bed and shut my eyes, eager for what Korea has in store for me.
