Belles

Chapter One

Belle's POV

"Belletrix!" My mother's calm and collected voice rang through the hallways of our bustling church. I poked my head out of the crowded classroom to see her looking all around.

"Yes Mum?" Her head jerked up and she smiled at me before rushing down the hallway, picking up her long, white dress so the sound of her heels clicking was evident. They were a sort of soothing constant against the manic rushing of everyone hurrying to get ready. the wedding did start in twenty minutes after all.

As my mum got closer(it was quite a long hall after all) I could see that her eyes were lit up with a sort of joy I hadn't seen in years. Not since before my father had passed when I was 7.

She finally reached me and embraced me. As she did so I breathed in the strong aromatic scent of lilacs and slight vanilla, the scent of my mum. She slowly pulled away and placed her hands on my shoulders.

"Before I do, this, I just want to make sure that you are alright with it." Her dark chocolate eyes searched mine and I smile at her, my crystal blue eyes connecting with hers.

"Of course mum, the look of pure joy on your face right now is enough to tell me that it's right. God you look so happy!" I pulled her in for another hug and nestled my face into dark brown hair, which was curled into soft ringlets.

"Plus I didn't want you to die alone so I'll take any guy for you." My mum pulled away and swatted me with her glove before she let out a chuckle.

"I'm kidding, Roger is perfect for you mum." She smiled and her lightly powdered face was overtaken by a dreamlike smile.

At that moment I heard a little girl's voice calling from behind me. I twirled around to see Jenna, the flower girl, struggling with her little blue hair bow. I rushed over and clipped it in her curly blond hair. She got the blonde and blue eyed genes from my dad. Her mother (my sister Becca) had the brown and brown from our mum. I had a mix, deep brown wavy hair with sparkling blue eyes, just like Pop's.

"Thanks Trixie." The little 5 year old cooed before wrapping her arms around my bare leg. All of the little kids called me Trixie. I didn't mind, I had a lot of nicknames.

I chuckled and patted her head before bending down and placing a kiss on it.

"No problem Jennabug." She giggled and ran off back to her mum at the silly nickname and excitedly took her bouquet before twirling around the room in her light blue dress.

I stood back up to see my mum coming towards me again. She smoothed out my ice blue dress and I reached into the room and handed her the blue hydrangea bouquet.

"Now let's go kill 'em mum." She chuckled and I kissed her cheek. I leaned into the door and told the rest of the bridesmaids that it was show time and Jenna came skipping out before latching herself onto my arm. She swung my arm as we clicked down the cement hall. Becca soon caught up to us and whispered in my ear,

"I swear she never wants to walk with me anymore, is she hitting her teenage years already?" I chuckled.

"No, I'm just her cool aunt. And hey! I'm still 18!" I protested jokingly.

"Oops!" Becca laughed and I hip checked her. Ever since she had moved out years ago, we had become closer. I was no longer that annoying sister who was 9 years younger. We were more like peers now. She even fangirled with me at the One Direction concert last Spring. Though she tried to say that Harry was the cutest and I immediately made it evident that he was mine.

My excuse was that I was seventeen at the time. I don't really have an excuse to be in love with a boy band now that I'm legally an adult. That excuse went away in July.

We stopped at the double door entrance to the cathedral and lined up. Becca went back to say something to mum and Jenna clung excitedly to my hand.

"Ok Jennabug, you remember what to do, right?" She vigorously nodded her head and stepped in front of me in line and started twirling excitedly again. I laughed at her adorable state and got in my place in line, right before my mother.

We heard the music begin to play and the double doors open. I couldn't see what was going on but by the giggles and "awes" I could tell that Jenna had just walked in. The line began to move up and quickly I was towards the front. I turned around and placed a kiss on my mother's cheek before walking down next to Becca.

The music changed when we got to the front and my mother began walking down, my grandpop beaming next to her.

They reached the end and kissed her forehead and smiled, a twinkle playing in his brown eyes before handing her over to Roger. My mother handed Becca her bouquet before taking Roger's hands.

I smiled at them as the minister began the service. It wasn't too long, and soon they were straight to the vows. I had expected all eyes to be on the darling couple, but as I watched them I felt as if someone's gaze was on me, not them. I slowly raked the crowd with my eyes, looking for the one rogue not watching the marriage. My gaze finally locked on a pair of piercing green eyes surrounded by a mop of perfectly messy curly brown hair.

His gaze didn't break mine but I looked away in shock. Because staring back at me, was Harry Styles.
