"I want to be leader. Don't you get it? I'm destroying the competition."

Rain covered his pelt as he laid the kit on the levitated stone surface.

"I'm sorry little sis, but you have to go." He growled. His growl grew louder as the kit wailed in protest.

"Only one of us can be leader. You can help me, maybe. Watch me from the SKIES because you'd be DEAD!" His laugh echoed around the small clearing as he tilted his head to the sky. He immediately spotted a bird.

"The rook is here!" He announced, his fierce state now a maniacal one.

A large bird circled the sky area of the siblings, sqwaking loudly in hunger.

The kit wailed and began to try and walk off the rock, only to be shoved back on.

"Hawkpaw?" A voice sounded behind the tom.

The tom turned around to face no-one other but his best friend, Crescentpaw.

"What are you doing here?" Hawkpaw growled, facing his suspected friend and blocking the view of his little sister in forced distress.

"Saving your sister!" He growled, lunging at Hawkpaw with a furious hiss. Hawkpaw stumbled back and faced his friend, his own blood oozing from a claw mark above his eye making his vision blurry. And him more vulnerable.

"I want to be leader. Don't you get it? I'm destroying the competition." He stood up and attempted to claw his friend, but missed and fell to the ground in a pathetic heap.

Crescentpaw tutted in sarcasm and clawed Hawkpaw's back one more time. "Be careful as a rogue. Oh, by the way, you are being exiled." Crescentpaw laughed and grabbed the kit before trotting away.

Hawkpaw lay there, drenched and bloody. He lost it all. All because of... Him. Crescentpaw. And her! Yes, it's all her fault! Both of their faults!

His mind whirled as he laughed louder and louder, uncertain on why. But he wasn't stopping. Oh he would continue laughing.

And laughing.

And laughing.
