I open my eyes, its still dark outside. Why's that? I thought it may of been later in the morning, but I guess not. I sit up and the covers fly off of my head, and my eyes burn because of the light in my room. Well, I guess its not so dark anymore. I stand up and trip over one of the boxes that I forgot to put away. I rub where I hit my knee on the box and then move them into my closet. I open my door an walk out and to Nathans room.

I lean on the doorway and watch him sleeping peacefully for a minute, I smile. "So how's the hard cold floor working out for you?" I ask in a loud enough voice to make him jump awake

"It's actually really cozy." He rubs his eyes.

"So, um, I have a question for you."

 "And what would that be?"

"Why were you standing over me last night?" I ask. He looks at me very confused, "You know, coming into my room and standing over me?"

"I never came into your room last night. I was right here, on the floor, the hard, cold floor, sleeping."

"I swear you came into my room. I remember because I woke up from a bad dream and you had said that I was screaming."

"I don't recall saying that," He stands up, "Look, Asriel, I think you might of imaged that."

"So, what you're saying is you think I'm going crazy?"

 "No, I never said that."

"It sounds a whole lot like you just did."

"Look I'm sorry for whatever I said, but I know one thing for sure. I didn't go into your room last night." He takes a step towards me as I take a step back in return and shaking my head. I walk out of the room and into the bathroom, brushing my hair and leaving it down.  I stare at myself in the mirror giving a thought to what he had said then taking a deep breath, head down to the kitchen to make some coffee.

As soon as I poor the coffee into my ebony mug I turn around and see Nathan in the door way. He observes me for a while and I lift up my eyebrows waiting for him to say something. I guess I'll have to make the first move.

"What?" I make sure to sound irritated.

 "Nothing. I just, never mind."

"No, what were you going to say? I want to know."

"I was just going to say that you look beautiful today."

"Thanks." I plainly reply. Just as I take another sip of my coffee their is a knock at the door. I put the mug down on the counter and walk over to the door. I peek though the seeing hole in the door to see who is it. Annabelle. Great, just what I needed.

"Who is it?" Nathan says advancing towards me.

"The lady from across the street, Annabelle, I believe is her name."

 "Great."

"What do I do?" I look at him trying to prolong opening the door.

 "Pretend that were not home."

"Okay." I begin walking back into the kitchen, Nathan follows close behind.

"I know you two love birds are home. I heard you talking." Annabelle shouts trying to look through the peephole which she is unsuccessful in doing so. I make my way back towards the door with a sigh then open it, faking a smile for Annabelle.

"Hey." I say as cheerfully as I can, but I guess it was too much because she looked at me weird.

"Hello. I was wondering if I could borrow some flour? You know how baking is." she twists her hair with her index finger while winking at Nathan in the background quickly.

"Sure." I turn around to Nathan, "Can you grab the bag of flour from the cabinet? I think I put it in one of the cabinets beside the fridge."

"Yup."

"So." I turn back to face her as she says this.

"So?" I repeat.

"How is he?"

"Nathan? He's fine."

"No. I meant how is he, you know, in bed."

"What? I didn't, what? No." I say. She stares at me not believing anything I say.

"Mhm."

"Seriously, I didn't." I reply as Nathan comes back just in time to save me, and gives the flour to her.

"Thank you for letting my borrow this," She says turning around mid-sentence and walking back down the steps. "Oh, and tell me how it goes, okay Asriel?" I don't reply, I just close the door and turn around to a confused Nathan.

"What was that all about?" He asks.

"Nothing."

"Alright?" And with that, everything goes silent for a couple of minutes.
