To him, as she danced around the red glow of the jukebox
Swaying her hips, hands gliding through the night
Cutting through any regret and sadness
They let consume their being
She would be the Angel who never got her wings
When she crashed into his world
All beauty, illuminating salvation
So with the tears she cried when she was alone
He would create makeshift diamond wings
As she lost herself in bittersweet melodies
Eyes shut tight, wishing to be more than she ever thought possible
Everything he knew she already was
