I'm so exited for tomorrow, I'm going to drive my new car all over the town and take Ally with me and we will have the best time of our lives. Just thinking about all the places we can go gets me even more pumped, and the expectations will become my reality in only 24 hours. I don't have anything to do today and it's going to be slow. Just as I predicted, the rest of the day was slow, I just keep replaying my future memories in my mind until about noon.
Dad: Maybe you should go down to the tree for a while, and just hang out, maybe time will go a little faster for you.
Autumn: Ok Dad, I might as well, It will probably calm me down a little too.
I walk out the back door and run through the hillside which is my yard, Once I see the tree I immediately plot my butt on the wood plank held up by string rapped around the rainbow tree. I sway back and forth, breathing in and breathing out, trying to calm down, like I have every year before my birthday for good luck. Instead though, I don't instantly calm down, in fact, I feel unsteady. I Don't know why, or how, I have depended on this tree since I was born and it never failed me. I try to ignore that though, it must just be because I'm nervous about the big step I'm taking tomorrow. So I get off the swing and touch the leaves, the silkiness, the faint aroma of perfume, and colours take me back to when I was younger. When I would come down here everyday to reflect on how great my life was. It still is, my family has never failed me, my friends have never failed me, ever. After these experiences, I feel like I never will, I am confident my life will continue to follow this path forever.
All thanks to the Rainbow Tree
