Chapter 5
Hey guys!! So luckily my grandma has a computer so I'll be posting chapter 5 today :))) yay yay yippie skippy (my spanish teacher says that all the time don't judge me k). so i KNOW that sophie and harry happened a little to fast but there's plot twists coming up so don't question it :))) alright im unsure of how much ill be able to post but enjoy this chapter! ily all and share the story with your family and cousins and friends but if you have no friends share it with your dog ok idk
As we walk back to the motel, my hand cradled in Harry's, I suddenly feel really unsure about all this. I mean, yeah he's hot - wHO AM I KIDDING HE'S GORGEOUS - and nice and strong and athletic and all that but I've just met him and I don't know I honestly don't know. I wince at trying to figure this out, pulling my hand away. Harry raises an eyebrow.
"Something wrong love?" he asks. His emerald eyes glitter in the moonlight and one of his curls falls in front of them. No stop being gorgeous little shit I can't think around you.
" 'M fine. Just need to...erm.." Fuck Soph think of something!!!!! Why so many exclamation points? Um. "I need to tie my shoe. You go on ahead." I say, gesturing to Sam's van a few steps away. Harry nods, tucking a strand of hair behind my ear before walking off. I sigh, leaning against the wall. Why were boys so confusing? Confusing things suck. I'd like to tear their dicks off and beat them with their sad excuse for a cock before cutting off all their hair and feeding it to them - oh um sorry I have a violent side I don't usually get into...hehe. Ahem. Anyways.
I start towards camp, heading to the fire that Harry and Zayn are sitting around. They're talking, and suddenly Zayn tips his head back and laughs. I linger behind Sam's van, curious as to what they're talking about. Zayn leans his head forward, lowering his voice.
"So, have you taken Soph's virginity yet?" he asks. I freeze, a chill running down my spine.
"Nah, but I've started dating her. We met her - what, two days ago? Doesn't that count for something? I think I deserve at least $20 of the bet." Harry says, shoving Zayn playfully. Bet?! What the hell? Tears spring to my eyes as I storm over to where they're sitting.
"B-bet?" I choke out, the tears already streaming down my cheeks. Harry looks shocked, but only for a second before he stands up and trys to reach out to me.
"Sophie, I can explain." he says. Zayn is sitting on the ground still, his jaw dropped. I shove Harry's hands away, backing away from him. I cannot believe I let myself get into this relationship. I should've known that dating a guy I only met a few days ago could only end badly.
"Is that how you see me Harry? A way to get money? I should've known not to trust you! God dammit, get away from me! I hate you!" I scream at him, watching as every word stings. I can see the pain in his eyes, reflecting my own. I turn and storm into the motel, wiping my eyes and trying to see through the blur of tears. I eventually give up at trying to navigate my way through, sliding down next to an ice box and pulling my knees close to my chest. I rest my forehead on my knees, my whole body shaking with every sob. God, I can't believe I let myself get lured into his trap. I knew now how much that boy could hurt me. I'd rather spend a day with zombies than with him. He's worse than the dead.

"Soph, why are you so quiet?" Sam asks, squeezing my shoulder before shifting Mackenzie to his other arm. I shrug, kicking a small pebble out of the way. We were headed downtown to get some new clothes, knowing it'd be a while before our next shower. Gross. We stop in front of a small department store, one that looks like it's been raided a few times. I follow Sam into the store, picking through some clothes racks and keeping my eyes out of zomibes. Or Harry. Whichever raid of hell came first. Mackenzie toddles up next to me, a big fluffy hat in her hands.
"Put this on!" she giggles. I smile small, giving into her, and placing the feathery catastrophe on my head. I grab a matching white boa from a neighboring rack.
"What do you think?" I toss the boa over my shoulder. Mack giggles, clapping her hands.
"Oh you look great, Soph." Sam teases from the other side of the store. I laugh, posing for him. He grabs a sparkly blue dress, slipping it over his t-shirt and shorts. Mackenzie and I burst out in giggles, Sam laughing with us, just as Harry walks into the store, Zayn at his heels. I clear my throat, turning away and pulling the hat off my head.
"Nice boa, Soph." Harry muses, a smirk playing at his lips. Seems he's gone back to dick mode. I shoot him a glarem, peeling off the boa and throwing it at him. I turn to Sam for help, but see he's busy digging through clothes bins behind the counter. I wince as Harry snickers. Suddenly, someone shrieks outside, and then I realize; Mackenzie is nowhere in sight. Sam shoots up from behind the counter, meeting my gaze and our thoughts connecting at the same time. I dash outside, shoving past Harry, and freezing in my tracks as my eyes fall onto the scene. A zombie crouches over Mackenzie, nibbling on her arm and chest.
"MACKENZIE!" I scream. The zombie looks up, fresh blood staining its face, and moans. "GET AWAY FROM HER!" As if that would do something. Sam is at my side in seconds, his face growing pale as he sees what's going on. He raises his rifle, pulling the trigger, and I watch the zombie crumple to the ground. I run over to Mackenzie, her lifeless body lying limply on the pavement. Tears are already streaming down my face.
"Mackenzie no no Mackenzie you're gonna be ok baby girl you're gonna make it." I sob, holding her close to my chest. Sam kneels down across from me, his eyes glistening with tears.
"Sophie, we have to let her go. She's going to wake up as a zombie soon." he whispers.
"NO! SHE'S STILL MACKENZIE. SHE'S STILL A-ALIVE." I cry. Her blood begins to stain my shirt. Suddenly, I feel strong hands wrap around my arms, and I'm pulled back into a toned chest. I don't have to turn around to know it's Harry. "LET ME GO LET ME GO!" I scream, wrestling to try and get out of his grasp. Damn him and his strong arms. Through my blur of tears, I see Mack sit up, groaning. I know she's a zombie. I know she's far from being saved. But I don't want to believe it. Sam picks up his rifle, stifling a sob as he pulls the trigger. Mackenzie crumples to the ground a second time, and I melt into Harry's arms, my body shaking with sobs. Harry turns me around, wrapping his arms around me and stroking my hair.
"Shhh. It's gonna be ok. You'll be ok." he whispers. I bury my face in his chest, not even caring anymore. I didn't have enough room in my heart for anything besides pain. My life was falling apart. And Harry seemed to be there whenever it was.
