Chapter Five: Mystery Twins

"DIPPER! WHERE ARE YOU?!" Mabel yelled while carrying the book she had found earlier in the woods.

"What!?!What do you want!" Dipper shouted to Mabel from across the Mystery Shack, while tending to some wound on his face.

"What the heck happened to your face, bro!"

"Bat in the kitchen, remember?" Dipper said grumpily while finishing to tend to his wound.

"Ohhh, Yeah!" Mabel said, while trying to tackle Dipper into a bear hug.

Dipper then pushed Mabel's hand out of the way. "DON'T TOUCH ME!" He shouted towards Mabel.

"Huh!? But why?" Mabel said, hurt, while pulling her hand away.

"Really!? You are asking me why? Ever since you got here my life has been turned upside down! First off, I learn that I have a long lost twin sister, who I guess our parents preferred you over me because I'm weird. Did my parents not want me enough to leave me in a town with my great uncle for my whole life!!

"...I didn't know you felt that way. " Mabel said in shock. "I am sorry... but I can make it up to you! I will do whatever you need my to do, okay? So please forgive me!"

"Really...you would do anything just for me to forgive you?"

"Yes I would!! I want to spend time with my long lost bro-bro!"

"Hmph, ok alright! But on one condition. Stop calling me bro-bro!" Dipper said semi-dramatically.

"Fine deal, Dipping Sauce!" Mabel said while bursting into laughter.

"Argh, this is going to be a long summer."

"OH YEAH!! I totally forgot why I came here in the first place." Mabel said as she pulled out the journal she had found in the forest not so long ago.

"Look at what I found in the forest!" Mabel said proudly.

"What is that?"

"I have no idea, i just found it in the forest."

"It looks like a book of some kind, it seems pretty old too." Dipper said while staring at the book in Mabel's hands. "Can I see it for a sec?"

"Sure, but let me have a look too!" Mabel said happily.

"Ok."

The twins began to look into the journal. What they found inside the journal was many pages of strange creatures, spells, and theories, but the last pages are completely blank, as if the the now already mysterious journal had now become even stranger.

"What is all of this?" Both of the twin said in union.

"I have no idea!" Mabel said, while staring deeply at the old and dusty journal.

"I can't believe this was all actually real! I knew it!" Dipper screamed in victory (for some strange reason).

"Dipper, what are you talking about?"

"Mabel, we will talk about it later! Remember how you said you would do anything to make it up to me?" Dipper said while grabbing Mabel's hand trying to drag her into the Mystery Shack.

"Of course I do. I just said it!"

"Ok, then for the rest of the summer let's find out the mysteries of Gravity Falls!"

"..... Ok but I have one condition." Mabel said quietly.

"Ok what is it?"

"We are going to be called... THE MYSTERY TWINS!!!"
