Who's to judge? (Nick x judy fanfic)

Recovery

Nick had been placed on a carriage, Judy was beside him, staring down at the wounded fox, the sight itself caused pain inside her. She brushed his forehead In-between his ears with her soft paws

"Oh nick" she said "I love you.... I love you so much"

The hospital workers quickly retrieved nick and placed him inside the white and red van along with Jack savage who too had injuries

"Well I'm glad this has been sorted"

Chief Bogo had walked beside Judy, giving her a tiny fright

"How are you feeling hopps?" He said

"Well, I guess... I hope nick wakes up soon" Judy said

"Oh he will, the antidote will be given to him as soon as he arrives at the hospital, but for you, rest is what's best, I want you at work in 1 week max, go see nick tomorrow"

"Thank you chief"

"No worries hopps"

***that night***

Judy had arrived at the hospital with some gifts. she had planned to stay the night and rest with nick, hell she'd stay with nick forever.

Judy entered the room nick was in. His breathing was heavy, it worried Judy. He had scars and wounds of all sorts over his fragile body. Judy sat down beside his bed and placed the gifts on the drawer next to her. She laid backwards into the chair not taking her eyes of nick. She placed her paw in his and soon enough fell asleep.

It was nice and quiet that night, not many people, you could barely hear the noise of traffic coming from the loud city of zootopia. Judy had rested well, she could feel nicks grip tighten on her paw which suddenly woke her up

"N..nick?" She stuttered

Nick was still resting, Judy sighed and closed her eyes again

"Judy?"

Judy shot her eyes open and directed them straight towards nick, who was conscious.

"You're here"

Judy squeezed his paw tightly

"Of course I'll always be here" Judy said reassuring nick

"D..did I hurt you?" Nick placed his other arm upon his face covering his eyes, hiding away the tears that threatened to drop, the thought had emotionally hurt him, he couldn't live with himself if he ever did

Judy began to tear up as well

"N..no nick I'm fine please"

Nick wasn't so convinced, he was blaming himself for putting her in that situation, when in reality it was the other way around

"Nick please don't blame yourself, I'm fine!"

Nick lifted his arm and looked over at Judy. His sadness going away as he viewed her, tears disappearing as there eyes connected. The two stared at each other in awe, a connection bonding between the two, Judy could feel herself heating up

"Did you mean what you said?" Nick asked

Judy lifted her eyebrow, a confused look on her face

"Oh... Must've been a dream"

He couldn't have heard her confession back when he was being taken to the hospital could he?

"What was it about" Judy asked, their paws still touching

"It was about you.... And what you said"

Nick broke eye contact facing away

"You had said that... That" nick said

"I love you"

Nicks eyes reconnected with Judy's, his eyes widened at her words

"I love you so much nick" she said, her voice trembling in the process, she was right, she had heard him earlier even when the antidote wasn't given to him, the bond they had was stronger

"Judy...."

Judy waited for him to reply with the same words she spoke, for him to confirm the love they had for each other

"I already Loved you more Carrots" he said with a sly smirk, his confidence building, it was as if her words had healed nick significantly

her heart was threatening to burst out of her chest, she wrapped her arms around his neck, tears of joy bursting from her face

"Ow ow ow ow ow" nick wailed lifting his arms

"Oh sorry!" Judy quickly jumped off of him

"Aha don't worry, I might not be in the condition to cuddle my new wittle bunny now but in time, lots will be coming your way" he winked at Judy causing her small fragile heart to melt
