A month had passed since nicks departure and Judy still had not gotten over him, he hadn't even bothered trying to called back every time she rung him. She was mad at that fact she was mad at him telling her that "it wouldn't be to long" or "to not worry" it was so long! And she was worried sick about him! About nick! Where in the world was that fox! What had to make the situation even worse was that Owen kept frequently bugging her mind conflicting with her thoughts about nick.Judy had started her morning routine as usual, having breakfast, getting dressed, brushing her teeth then fur and so on. As she arrived at the ZPD she was greeted by someone who always seemed to brighten her mood
"Good morning Judy!" Clawhauser called waving his paws about
"Hehe good morning clawhauser! How are you this morning?" Judy replied with a small wave
"I'm okay! What about you?"
"I'm fine I should get to the bullpen it was great seeing you clawhauser" Judy said as she walked fast towards rollcall waving backwards at clawhauser. As soon as she entered the room, Owen was the first animal she saw. Instantly her mood dropped. She walked straight past that creep and completely ignored him
As Judy sat down in her regular spot next to officer rhinowitz she noticed Owen walking towards her
"Hey Judy" he said
"Oh hey Owen" Judy replied trying to sound as polite as possible. In reality she wanted this creep away from her.
"Wondering if you're free after work maybe I could take you out somewhere and apologise to you" he said. Judy simply shook her head and declined his offer
"No thank you" Judy faced away and awaited Bogo. Owen snickered and walked back to his chair mumbling some words that were barely audible for Judy to understand
"You will be"
The ritual of banging the damn desk begun as Bogo walked in. Judy had always wondered what was up with that? Did the chief even like the animals doing it? He probably didn't even care
As usual Bogo handed out assignments and handed Judys hers Judy was on patrol and was told to go scouting for anything down at savanna central. She walked into the garage and entered her and nicks shared armoured police car. Instant memories of when the two were in the car floated into her head as she pulled on her seatbelt
"You know you love me"
"Do I know that? Yes.. Yes I do"
The words constantly echoed in her head, her heart ached. She latched her paw around her small and fragile heart and grasped it tightly. She looked down towards her feet, tears built in her eyes, threatening to fall as each second passed by
"Oh nick... When will you be back" she wailed. She took a deep breathe and began driving ignoring her little breakdown.
Savanna central was in a terrible state, rain was pouring down dramatically as the wind blew harshly against the car windows. Stores with their lights blooming through their windows alined both sides of the road. There were cafes, clothing stores, barbers, pubs, stores of all sorts
Judy noticed a group of animals all huddling together whilst walking along the wet paved concrete floor. They entered a store and Judy decided to go investigate. Luckily she had carried around an umbrella that she left in the car most of the time. She stepped out and walked towards the store windows and took a peek inside. She saw that the group of animals all belonged to the "robin hoods" gang of zootopia. Judy immediately retreated and waited in the cafe right next to the store they had entered.
The cafe was nice, warm and toasty, the fresh smell of hot chocolate flooded the entire room. Judy had saw that their were only a handful of animals from where she sat. She decided to sit right next to the window where she could at least spot the Robin Hood thugs exit the store.
"May I get you anything?"
Judy looked over her shoulder to see a small squirrel that wore a black vest with a white collar short sleeve shirt beneath it
"Oh! Umm can I get a hot chocolate?" Judy asked politely. The squirrel nodded, writing down Judys order on her tiny note pad before leaving.
Her hot chocolate was placed on her table, Judy had thanked the waiter and nipped at the frothy topping of the warm beverage. It tasted like pure heaven in this weather. All of a sudden she could see the Robin Hood thugs exit the store and walk pass her window. She caught a glimpse of one of the animals and no... It couldn't be
It was nick, his appearance was widely different from the last time she remembered seeing him. The fox wore a leather coat with a fur coated collar that was very large. Underneath The coat he wore a white shirt that looked stained and was wearing black cuffed pants. He too had the Robin hoods symbol plastered upon his back.
Without hesitation Judy bolted straight out of the store and screamed
"NICK"
The group of thugs all turned around except nick.
"Hey you know this girl?" One of the animals said to nick
"she's a police officer what should we do?" Another animal said. Nick turned around to Judy, he had an emotionless expression his emerald eyes hung low it was if he had never seen her before in his entire life
"I'm sorry do I know you?" Nick said
Judys heart ached at the words nick spat
"N..nick it's me" Judy said, she was on the verge of tears.
"Nick stop being an idiot you know who I am" she said, her voice was more centred and held more confidence this time
The thugs all took glances at nick, causing nick to take action
"Look rabbit you got me mixed up with another chap, so it's best if you know fuck off?" Nick snapped
Judy took a few steps back, fear Building as he walked closer toward her. Judy lifted her paw and slapped nick across his muzzle. Nick slowly looked over at Judy and grabbed her by the throat and pitted her back against the wall
"Try that again and you're dead" nick growled, his grasp tightening around Judys throat
"Nick... P...please y..you're... Hurting... Me" she wailed. Nick threw her off the wall and dropped her in a puddle of water.
The rain lashed across Judys fur, she was covered in mud and was completely soaked, tears burst from her eyes as she sat in the muddy water.
"Tsk let's go" nick said signalling the other thugs to follow. Judy could hear the other thugs giggling and wooing nick on at what he had done.
Judy removed herself from the puddle, she could feel the eyes of the animals around her pierce her as Judy made her way towards her police car. Her eyes continued to flush with tears an everlasting trail of sadness and despair. Her heart was ultimately crushed into a million fragile pieces. The amount of rain that fell could never add up to the amount of shards her heart had cracked into. Slowly She drifted off home, not the ZPD but straight home
Where the bunny could weep
