When I look up I am staring into the face of Adam knight, the schools one and only lacrosse super star.

Tris pov

I quickly start gathering my books and stand up. 

"Thanks for the help and all but I gotta get to calc," I say with a smile.

"Yeah cool, hey um do you wanna maybe hangout after school sometime?"

Without even thinking of drew I say,"Yeah sure that would be fun, here's my number," and I hand him a slip of paper with my phone number before rushing off to calc.

After 45 agonizing minutes of calculus, Mrs. Hartford finishes explaining the homework assignment before the bell rings signaling the end of first period.

I go through the next three periods just pretending to pay attention to boring teachers and drawing in my notebook.  I love art but I'm not any good so I never plan on showing my work to anyone.

Finally the bell sounds signaling the end of fourth period and the beginning of my double lunch period.  Oh the joys of being a senior.

I walk into the cafeteria and make a beeline for my usual table where Max and Chase are already seated.

"Sup guys" I ask.

"Well my life is very dull in comparison to what I've heard about your wonderful life" max states.  Max is 6 feet tall with blonde hair and green eyes, your typical surfer dude.  

"Haha so funny... Where are Gabby, Grace, Heather and Alex?"

"Where do you think oh great smart one?" That rude and yet common question came from chase.

"Fine I'll just wait unt..." I get cutoff by the presence of a person behind me.

When I turn around to see what took my friends so long, I am surprised to find the all too familiar face of Drew.  

"Um hey Drew... Don't you usually sit over there?" I ask pointing toward his table over by the popular kids.

"Yup but not today princess, “He answers a ridiculous smirk on his face when he calls me princess.

With that drew sits down next to me and starts eating his lunch.  When I look around I see every other girl in the cafeteria glaring at me.  Wow, jealous much?  Whatever.

"Omg tris you need to tell me mor… oh hi Drew,” and that would be the rest of my friends arriving at the table. 

Omg Chase and Max are going to kill me for Drew sitting with us.  Heather, Grace, Gabby, and Alex probably won’t care since he’s hot but still.

“Umm Drew why aren’t you sitting with the rest of the football players and the cheerleaders?”

“Because I’m sitting with you princess” again with the nicknames.

“How many times do I have to tell you not to call me princess?!”

“Five thousand three hundred eighty two and a half times princess”

Wow just wow his one and only goal must be to annoy me.

“Do you have a free period after lunch?” I ask drew.

“Yes I do Princess”

“Then can we please talk then so I can talk to my other friends now? Please Drew? You can even text me while you’re gone if you can’t handle being out of my amazing presence.”
