Chapter 9

(Jake's POV)

They told me that when I jumped out of the window I had gotten a piece of glass lodged into my torso. I hadn't realized it because I had been lacking oxygen so I couldn't feel it. When they told me that I almost panicked. I wanted to know how bad it was and how much blood I had lost. That's when I remembered I was going to meet up with Kaylee. She must be freaking out right now not knowing where I was.

(Kaylee's POV)

I was getting ready to go see Jake. I had been there the day before but he was asleep. I heard from the villagers that he had awoken and that he was feeling better. I put on some jeans, a white t-shirt, a leather jacket, and my combat boots and rush over. He's laying there with his bandage stained with blood. His eyes flutter open when he hears me come in the room. He looks drained of life his face very pale. He smiles when he sees me standing in the doorway.

(Jake's POV)

I saw Kaylee standing in the doorway. Just the sight of her made my face light up. She told me how she had heard the screams also and by the time she got there I was already out but very bloody. The doctor told us that I would be better in 2 weeks time.
