Chained,
Bound, by various limitations
Wings clipped and unable to fly
She wishes to see the world
To experience the people, the places
To comprehend what people go through
The pain, the joy
Everything people have experienced
And to peer into the lives of others
Instead of cooped up in her little corner of the world
But, woe, her wings are clipped
So she flies in another way
Venturing into the land of stories, of the mind
Traveling across other worlds,
Meeting new people
And seeing some of the things she so longs to see
Life may have her cramped in a corner at the moment, but she still flies, until she can escape
