Mal's POV
We got back late that night with no wand. As we entered our dorm, Evie and I found y/n waiting for us.
"How'd it go?" She asked.
We told her how we went to the museum and the wand was guarded by a force field, and had an alarm. She laughed when we told how Jay triggered it. I'm kinda starting to think they like each other, but I'm not the kind of person who's into date-y stuff, so who cares.
"You guys wanna stay up tonight? Do some catching up?" y/n asked.
"Oh! Let's play truth or dare!" Evie suggested. I rolled my eyes.
"Alright, Mal, truth or dare," y/n said. Ugh. Great.
"Truth I guess?" I said.
"How did the four of you become friends?"
"Oh, that's kinda a long story, but let's just say my mom wanted us to find her staff and along the way we just kinda became friends I guess," I answered. (A/N if you don't understand Mal's answer read the Isle of the Lost book!!)
"Evie," I said. "Truth or dare."
"Mmm.... Dare!"
I smiled. "Okay, I dare you to... Not apply blush tomorrow." Evie gasped in despair and y/n laughed a little. We both knew it sounded pretty stupid.
"Fine...," Evie said sadly. "Y/n! Truth or dare."
"Truth."
Evie stopped to think for a moment then asked a question neither of us expected.
"Did you ever find your parents?"
Your POV
Okay, before I answer, a little backstory:
Apparently, when I was a baby my parents committed a horrible crime. No clue what it is, however it's not bad enough to be considered villainous, but terrible all the same. So, they got sent to Auradon prison (where the criminals-not-villains go) and I got sent to the Isle of the Lost. I don't understand why, but whatever.
So basically, I don't remember ever meeting my parents and that's why I grew up with Maleficent. She's also the one who told me about my parents so who knows how true this is.
Anyways, back to the story.
"No, I never found them, or much about them," I said.
"Oh, I'm sorry," Evie said, seeming embarrassed to have asked.
"But, you know, I don't really want to find them right now. I just got you guys back. I think I'd be pretty overwhelmed if I found them right now too. Maybe in a year or so, but definitely not now," I told them.
We continued truth or dare for a little before getting into would you rather. I admit, these games were super juvenile but I didn't care. All I cared about was spending time with them. I mean, they're gonna be gone again after they take the wand, and as much as I'd love to go with them, Auradon is my home now. Maybe I could convince them to stay? I mean, I just got them back. I'm not going to lose them again that easily. It's worth a shot.
A/N Hi guys!! Sorry for a super short chapter! I know this one was a little boring too, but I needed some way to explain why your character was on the isle of the lost in the first place and stuff. I might update again today or tomorrow so just giving you a heads up :))
