"Carlson, we need to talk," Lacey said loudly as she entered their - actually Carlson's, but Lacey basically lived there - apartment. Francis was the first thing that caught her eye, since the huge cat was lying on the couch and looking at her as if she was a peasant.

The second thing was Carlson sitting on the couch with a blank expression as she played with her fingers. Lacey stepped out of her flats and walked over to her girlfriend, slowly sitting down on the couch next to her.

"You okay there, Carly bean?" Lace asked and brushed a few strands of hair out of Carlson's face so she could meet her eyes.

"Do you like Katerina as more than a friend?" she asked bluntly, her eyes watery as she tried not to cry, because Lacey leaving her was probably the worst thing that could happen to Carlson.

"No, where did you get that idea from?" Lacey asked in confusion and furrowed her eyebrows. Carlson slowly unlocked her phone and showed her the article E! News had posted just thirty minutes ago. "No, Carlson. I would never do that to you, okay? I love you so much, I promise." She kissed the shorter blonde's forehead and smiled. "Don't worry, I couldn't love anyone else more than I love you."

Carlson slowly smiled and then nodded, wiping her eyes with the sleeves of her sweater.

"I love you, too, princess," she said and cuddled up next to her taller girlfriend. "What did you want to talk about, by the way?"

"Nothing," Lacey mumbled. She would just ask her another day.
