It was a lazy day, it was raining outside and they were just cuddling on the bed in just their underwear. That was when the doorbell rang and their Saturday morning was interrupted by life.
"Maybe it will just go away if we don't open the door," Carlson whispered and rubbed her nose against Lacey's before kissing her softly, but the taller blonde pulled away.
"But what if it's important? Besides, not opening the door would just be rude," she said and got up from the bed, making her girlfriend groan. "I'll be back soon, princess. Don't get your panties in a twist." Lace pulled one of her girlfriend's bigger t-shirts over her head and headed out of their bedroom and toward the door.
"Hurry," Carlson called from the bedroom, making Lacey snort before she opened the door, her happy smile being replaced by a confused one. A teenage girl who looked to be a little older than Venus, but a little younger than Lacey. She had long, blonde hair and was quite pale, and so beautiful.
"You're Lacey Summers, right? Terrance Summers' daughter?" she asked, sounding nervous.
"Yeah, but I haven't seen him since I was really young," Lacey said slowly, her eyebrows furrowing as she spoke.
"Well, uhm. He's kind of my dad?" the girl said, making the older blonde choke on air. "Not kind of, he is my dad. He isn't around much, mainly shoots up everything he can get his hands on into his body and shit, but he's my father. He told me about you a couple of months ago, and two other sisters. I wanted to meet you but I was really scared because you might hate me and all, since apparently I'm the fucking reason he left your mom and I'm just really sorry."
Lacey just looked at her wide eyes.
"My name is Violet," she said quietly, "and I don't have anywhere else to go. Terrance got us evicted, my mom isn't around anymore, and I have no one." She tucked her blonde hair behind her ears and inhaled. "I'm so sorry, this was a mistake. I'll be out of your hair, now. Bye."
Violet turned to leave, but that didn't happen. Lacey talked her into staying in the guest room, and then Carlson walked into the living room with blanket wrapped around her and an annoyed look on her face.
"Lacey, what's taking so long?" she asked, but then went quiet when she saw Violet.
"This is Violet, we're apparently half-sisters. She'll be staying here for a while, if that's okay of course," Lacey said and smiled brightly, that smile that could make Carlson agree to anything.
"I can pay rent," Violet said suddenly. "I mean, not yet, but I can go out and get a job and stuff. I graduated high school two years ago and I don't have any money for a college education, but maybe there are like, low paying jobs that don't require any education?"
"You can stay, it's okay," Carlson said, earning a kiss from her girlfriend.
"Thank you, Carly bean," Lacey whispered against her lips.
