Different (Google X reader)

A day of fun, a day with anger

Y/n P.O.V:

I sighed walking out of the bathroom. The first one to spot me was of course... Mark. He walked/ran up to me excited. He opened his mouth to say something but nothing came out, but I didn't care. I pushed passed him rejoining with Dylan. Dylan wrapped  an arm around me, hugging me as I snuggled against his chest.

Even though I wasn't facing Mark, I could tell he was staring at me.

Mark P.O.V:

I stared at y/n as she snuggled against this stranger. Something in my chest stung. This strange feeling came over me. I gritted my teeth staring at the guy. I just didn't like him, at all. I was so focused on them I didn't notice Jade walking up to me until she grabbed my shoulder. I snapped out of whatever  trace I was in and faced her.

"Mark? Are you alright?" She asked concerned. I just nodded.

"I'll wait near the exit.." I said signing frustrated and walking past them all.

I continued to look back at y/n. At some points our eyes would lock onto each other's, but that would only last for a second before the stranger would get her attention again. Eventually the group rejoined me at the exit and we all walked out of Starbucks.

Y/n and the guy walked to a car. I tried to follow but someone caught my arm and pulled me back. I whipped my head back to see it was Jade. She pursed her lips as she gave me a long meaningful stare. I took one last look at the car y/n had just entered, only to lock eyes with the stranger. He glared at me as he closed Y/n's door when she entered. I quickly looked away and Jade started leading me off to where Ryan's car was.

(Time skip cause why the fuck not? Now they are at Kings Dominion! HOOORAYYYY)

I exited the car looking up at the sky looking at the clouds. I felt the wind brush through my hair. Strangely, I couldn't help but smile.

Y/n P.O.V:

I got out of the car as I continued to think of ways to avoid Mark, but in the process I had gotten a glimpse of him. He stood confidently. The wind running through his hair causing it to sway. He also had this smile. He seemed to be enjoying life. But just at the glimpse of that, my heart nearly skipped a beat. I shook my head trying to shove down these feelings. Mark must have noticed for he looked at me. Our eyes once again locking onto each other's.

My checks became a light shade of pink as I quickly rejoined myself with Dylan. Once I rejoined him he slipped his hand into mine giving it a reassuring squeeze before we got our wrist bands and entered the amusement park.

Jade held the map high in the air as she circled all the roller coasters and other crazy rides she was determined to go on.

(Time skip again cause I'm lazy I'm sorry ;-;)

A ton of rides later and it had already been 3 hours! Surprisingly I was enjoying myself even though I would catch Mark staring at me, reminding me of that one afternoon making me pissed all over again.

We all had been walking around a but trying to find one of the rides when Jade suddenly through the map at the guys yelling, "Yo! Y/n and I are gonna go on like a personal ride for us. You dudes go do some boy thing. I'll text you after we are done, okay? Bye!" Jade said grabbing my hand and rushing me off to some distant ride. The ride turned out to be a ferries wheel. We both got in and the ride started. Jade stared out as I just stared at her. Eventually she turned to me.

"I know this isn't some batshit crazy ride... but we gotta talk. Away from the boys." Jade started pausing to make sure I was listening. I nodded. "But you gotta at least TALK to Mark. I know you don't want to bu-" I cut her off.

"Seriously?! SERIOUSLY?! You want me to give HIM a chance after he nearly fucking killed me?!" I shouted tears pricking my eyes, but I didn't care. I let them run down my face.

"No! No! Nothing like that! It's just.... it's killing him! He misses you so much I find him awake at night silently staring out the window because he's thinking if you! All I'm asking is if you just fucking talk him." Jade said looking away and staring down at the ground. I just sighed.

"You wouldn't have cared if I died wouldn't you?" I mumbled to myself but she must have heard me because she slapped me, pretty damn hard.

"NOW WHAT THE FUCK?! Where is that coming from?! OF COURSE I WOULD! Do you really think I wouldn't?! Haven't we been friends long enough for you to know I would?!" She screamed at me. I just stared at her with wide eyes as the ride did it's all too familiar stop, and we happened to be at the very top. Jade sighed running her hands through her hair and looked down as she calmed herself.

"Y/n... I would care. I would care so much I'd kill that son of a bitch. But something tells me that wasn't him so that's why I haven't. If I can do that, can't you at least talk to him?" Jade asked looking up to me with tears and a half smile. I just nodded as I grabbed her pulling her into a hug as I sobbed quietly.

Soon the ride returned to the ground and we were asked to exit. We both exited after we had wiped our tears away. Jade took her phone out and sent a text to someone. Immediately her phone went off and Jade checked it before she grabbed my hand and lead me to one of the many food courts where we saw the boys.

Mark raised an eyebrow as we watched Ryan and Dylon quickly ate pies with their hands behind their back. Ryan was clearly winning. Mark looked at me then quickly looked away. I sighed and walked up to him.

"Hey Mark..." I said rubbing my arm nervously.

"Oh hey.." he replied rubbing the back of his neck.

"I-" we both said at the same time, I giggled a little. "No Mark you can say whatever you want first." I said Mark shook his head. "Ladies first." He replied causing me to blush a little.

"Okay well... we need to talk in private..." I said pointing to an empty spot of the park. Mark nodded and stood up. Dylan looked at me with concern. I just nodded indicating it was okay.
