Late Sleep

Y/n P.O.V:

I walked through the hall and once I made my way to the kitchen I was given a hug by Jade and Ryan. Both of their hugs were tight but full full of meaning. When they let go of me I was greeted to the sight of sushi! I happily walked over and tried one and boy was it delicious. We all sat down and started eating. However, I hate ever little because I was waiting for Mark. Eventually he came out and sat down also and started eating without saying a single word. The rest of dinner was like that.

After we all finished I helped Jade with the dishes and we all went to bed... except for me. Currently I laid in bed still with many questions but no answers. Maybe that was the answer. Nothing.

I sighed and turned over facing the clock in the room. It had just turned 12 am. I couldn't sleep so I grabbed my phone and spent sometime on it. My phone eventually died and I was left to staring up at the ceiling. I couldn't take it so I got up and walked to out of my room and into the kitchen room for a drink.

I searched through the fridge and just decided on milk. As I was pouring myself a glass, I heard a noise behind me. I turned around and saw a pair of dim red glowing eyes. Panicked, I quickly turned on the lights. It was just Mark who was.... shirtless?! I quickly turned back around and covered my eyes.

"Y/n? What are you doing up late? For a moment I thought you were an intruder!" Mark said as he walked towards me.

"I just can't sleep. But more importantly, why are shirtless and..." I turned around again my eyes observing his body. "And without pants?!" I whispered yelled covering my eyes again.

"Oh yeah... Sorry. This is just comfortable to me to sleep in." Mark replied chuckling a little. "But how come you can't sleep?" He asked innocently. I just shrugged as I placed the milk back in the fridge.

"It's just... what happened really... well fuck, to be honest its with everything that has happened... first with Nicole, then me saving you and then you trying to kill me, and now this... this is just really too much to handle that's all. I can't even sleep because of all of this." I said sighing as I walked out to the living room, Mark following close behind.

"Again... I'm sorry for my actions... it didn't feel like it was really... me. And I suppose I'm in the same situation because I can't sleep either." Mark said sitting down on the couch. I sat down next to him with my glass of milk.

"I could help you fall asleep if you want me too..." I offered downing the rest of my milk. Mark turned and looked at me with an eyebrow raised. "And how would you do that, y/n?" Mark asked.

"Well first, lay down and place your head on my lap." I said placing a pillow on my lap. Mark hesitantly laid down, his head slowly applying pressure to the pillow. "Alright, now what?" Mark asked quietly. "Well that's all you gotta do except." I paused laying the blanket over him. "There. Now you just relax and I'll do the rest." I said.

I slowly brushed my fingers through Mark's red hair as he stared up at me confused.

"Y/n are you alright? Why are you brushing my hair with your fingers?" He asked.

"Well, when I was little and I couldn't sleep, my mom would do this with my hair and I would fall asleep almost immediately. I mean that's just what helps knock me out right away, how do you feel? I asked stopping.

"I mean... I don't know... it feels nice... is that normal?" Mark said slightly tensing up. I nodded giggling a little. "Yes Mark, its normal..." I said smiling down at him as I felt his muscles ease. "Y/n I-" Mark began, but I interrupted him. "Shh. Mark this won't work unless you close your eyes and don't talk." I explained, placing my other hand on his shoulder. Mark nodded and closed his eyes.

After a couple of minutes I heard a light snore. I looked down to see Mark snoring with a small smile on his face. I smiled and soon enough I feel asleep as well.
