This whole chapter is the story of you and Severus, so just keep this in mind as this is an important memory.
"Hi Lily, how are you?" you say to lily, you were childhood friends.
"Oh my, hi (Y/N) I haven't seen you for ages!" lily squeals.
"I can't wait to see what house group I get put in, either way.. Best friends for ever!" she said with a big smile on her face.
"I don't mind what house group I get put in" you say happily.
"Right, so if you get put in my house then I would be over joyed but also if you get put in a group with this boy called Severus Snape then could you look out for him. He's a bit.... odd but I need you to keep him out of trouble and be his friend" she said with desperation in her voice.
"You like him don't you" you teased.
"Please don't tease me. I'm serious!"
"No your mad for Severus!" you laugh
"Lily and Severus sitting in a tree,
K.I.S.S.I.." you were interrupted by a teacher calling in all of the students to get sorted in their groups.
(20 minuets later)
"(Y/FN) Dumbledore" that was the teacher calling you up to be grouped.
Lily is in Gryffindor and the boy.... was it Severus... was in Slytherin.
The teacher places the hat on your head and it takes a moment but then says "Slytherin" and you walk over to the table and sit on your own in the corner opposite Severus. He looks down at his hands to avoid eye contact.
You just sit there and think, 'this is going to be interesting'.
