ok

I walked into work and clocked in. My best friend was working and so was a guy who had just started working there mainly with her a few weeks back. I tied an apron around my waist and dropped my ticket pad in one of the pockets with my favorite pen. I dropped my phone in the pocket on the side and he looked up at me. I gave him a small smile and fixed myself a french vanilla cappucinno. I took a sip and sat my cup on the back counter. Our boss walked up front and hugged me.

"Have a good day off yesterday?"she asked.

"Yeah, finsihed unpacking finally yesterday, mom says thanks."I replied. Customers started coming in and she turned on the radio to keep us moving. We stayed busy for a few hours and my bestie pulled me into the kitchen when another waitress showed up. I looked at her rolling my eyes and she hugged me.

"He keeps checking you out Sarai, I think he likes you."she said.

"Talking about Liam?"the other waitress asked walking in the back for her apron.

"Watch how he looks at Sarai when we go back out there Alexa."Payge said. She pulled us back up front and he looked at me biting his lip. My eyes got big and Payge walked over to him. She whispered in his ear and he nodded blushing. Alexa pulled me out onto the floor and had me help her wipe tables down.

"Hey Liam are your friends coming in today?"Alexa asked. He shrugged and I pulled my phone out of my pocket. I looked at the time and groaned to myself.

"Sarai?"my boss asked. I looked up and started to take my apron off.

"Mom is late to work, shes bringing Natalie up here to me."I said rolling my eyes.

"Hey thats my little buddy."Payge said. I smiled and watched as my mom pulled up with my 2 year old little sister. I walked out to the car and got her out of her carseat. My mom took her seat inside so I would have it and Natalie laid her head on my shoulder still half asleep. I took her inside and she wanted Payge. Payge took her to the booth behind the counter in the corner and I put my apron back on.

"Sorry Sarai, this wont happen again I promise."my mom said on her way out the door. I sat up Natalie's dvd player and Alexa went to get her stuff to snack on. I fixed her a drink and kissed the top of her head before getting back to work. Another few hours later the door opened and in walked 4 boys talking and laughing. Liam looked up and they walked over to him watching us. I walked over to the booth where Natalie was and sat down across from her. Alexa sat beside me and Payge sat next to my little sister.

"Sissy I love you."Natalie said looking at me. I smiled and our boss came out of the kitchen.

"I love you too Natalie."I told her. She grinned and picked up her favorite movie Toy Story. Payge fixed it for her and Natalie started sucking her thumb. Alexa smiled and we moved around so I could sit her in my lap. She slowly fell asleep and the girl got up moving the table with them. I laid Natalie down and they pushed the other booth to hers so she wouldnt fall off. I covered her up and put her stuff back in her bag. We got back to work and Liam smiled over at me.

"That your kid?"his friends asked me. I raised my eyebrow and Payge started laughing.

"Try shes my baby sister."I replied. We got our lunch rush and Liam kept bumping into me. The last time he bumped into me I grabbed his arm and he flashed me a quick smile as his friends left. I bit my lip and took my hand away.

"She noticed the muscles Alexa."Payge called. Liam blushed and I looked across the room. I wiped the rest of the tables off and helped Alexa fix the booth back behind the counter. Natalie was already waking up. I picked up her Buzz Lightyear backpack and Liam smiled at it. I clocked out and put my apron back on the shelf in the kitchen pulling my phone out. I put it in my pocket and Payge grabbed Natalie's carseat for me.
