"I broke a thousand hearts

Before I met you

I'll break a thousand more, baby

Before I am through

I wanna be yours pretty baby

Yours and yours alone

I'm here to tell ya honey

That I'm bad to the bone

Bad to the bone" - 'Bad To The Bone' by George Thorgood.

"Lola Grey, look over here!"

"Fuck off" I rolled my eyes before I flipped my leather collar up and pushed through the annoying crowd of paparazzi.

"Move it" I spat and pushed someone to the side, but not enough to hurt them before I walked through the doors and took my sun glasses off, "Mathew, get your butt out here" I yelled as I continued to walk through the empty building before I fell onto our meeting room couch.

"Hi Lola-"

"We're in the room Mathew, we can use my real name" I groaned, cracking my neck.

"Right Charlie, you're doing a brilliant job with this character, but we need to-"

"I thought this was just going to be a few months thing, it's been four years Mathew. Four years with acting as Lola Grey, bad ass girl who plays music while running her reputation to the ground. I know people love it, and how they look up to it, but I don't want to do this anymore. In fact, you said last week was my last week, and yet you booked me in for a few more concerts"

"I know, I know, but I honestly think that your acting career won't get to far if this gets out that your real name isn't even Lola, and you have been acting with apple juice and water instead of scotch and vodka. Not to mention the hired actors that 'party' with you"

"So i'll never just... stop being Lola?"

"Put it this way, you have two lives, one that can be full on and one where you can relax. You can choose to swap whenever you want, but it can't stay like that forever. And until people stop listening to you, you'll have to keep being Lola. It's in your contract after all-"

"But they'll never stop listening. Not with the way you make me act"

"Well, put it this way. Until you dry out, someone finds you out or your voice doesn't work anymore, you'll be stuck running a muck-"

"But Matthew... I'm so tired..." I whispered, looking at him.

"I know, that's why you'll be having a month or so off"

"Really?" I breathed out, giving him a relieved smile.

"With the exception of a few small concerts, photo shoots and interviews that is"

My smile drops, should have known it was to good to be true, "I have a car in the under ground car park waiting to drive you to your penthouse"

Sighing I pushed my dyed black hair out of my face before I got off of the couch and then I started to walk away to go to the underground apartment, but then he grabbed my arm.

"This is for your own good Charlie"

"I know" I muttered, knowing what he said was a lie. It was only because he wanted more money out of me... which I'm complied to give him because of the contract he made me sign as soon as I turned sixteen.

He basically controlled everything about me, from my hair that use to be brown, from how I act, how I speak, how I perform and everything else besides the secrets I keep and what I do when I'm not Lola, but Charlotte Smith, Charlie for short.

Walking to the elevator of his big complex that housed Mathew, his recording studio's, meeting rooms and other things - he basically never leaves in other words.

Getting to the underground car park I climbed into the back of the car and sat back in my seat, "How are you Charlie?" the driver, Mathew's nephew Jordan asks me.

"Absolutely thrilled" I sighed.

"He won't let you go, will he?" Jordan sighs before he started driving.

"No"

We both knew Mathew wasn't right in the head, he's to greedy - and he just seems like the fact people crawl on their knee's because he's my manager.

"At least try to relax, yeah? Just pour some wine out and-"

"I don't drink, that's why I drink water, sometimes sprite as Vodka on my little night outs"

"I know, I know, just have some tea then"

"Will do" I nod as he continues to drive through the back way and into the city before he started driving us to my penthouse.

"Thanks Jordan"

"No problem Charlie, though I suggest getting the eye liner, mascara, foundation and straightened hair off so people don't realize who you are and try to break into your new house, like last time"

"Mmm, kinda feel sorry for the poor bloke meeting Mister Batty" I chewed my lip, remembering how I had broken two of his ribs with my metal baseball bat because he had broken into my home and I thought he was an axe murderer or something.

Jordan laughs, "Bye short stuff"

"Bye Jor-do" I waved and softly closed the door before I walked through the underground car park of my building and pushed a key into the elevator and then got into it.

The doors closed and I waited for to reach the very top of the building before pulled a hair tie off of my wrist before I tied my hair into a sloppy bun, I pulled my jacket off and then my grey shirt, revealing the tank top underneath. The door's open and I walked out into the three metres by three metres 'hallway' and unlocked my door to that also.

Walking in I turned the lights on before I locked the door to my apartment and then walked into my place, dropping my jacket on the dinner table before I quickly went and collapsed onto a couch and stared up at the white roof, being Lola Grey is tiring...

At least now I have a kind of holiday...
