LEXI'S POV
I'm here I said running in to the foyer of my house stopping in front of my brother sean, your 30 minutes late he growled sorry i got caught up with an old friend do you remember Crystal Mandrake she had an older brother Damon I said panting a little, yeah are they back Sean asked yeah they came back today I haven't seen Crystal in 10 years I smiled thinking of the good times we had together,
When you two have finished maybe we can hunt some blood suckers before the sun comes up Riley my brothers best friend said, i will admit he was yummy but then who could resist a 6ft muscular guy with his dreamy blue eyes and shoulder length brown hair and a smile that makes you melt... Ok ok stop thinking about him like that his just your friend i thought, yeah your extremely fit friend my brain sang making me smile to myself,
Let's go then I said ignoring my earlier thoughts, fine Lexi your with Jenson and Chris Sean you take Joey Dan and Jess, Jake and Trey are with me be careful if you find a nest call us and we'll come don't go in there alone be back here at 5am ok Riley said looking at us all, got it we all said knowing the rules well.
I walked out the front door of the mini mansion we all shared and towards Jenson's car with chris my best friend i could tell him any thing, I looked up at my brothers Sean Joey and Trey they gave me a small smile and got in the correct cars i looked at Jess my twin it was like looking in a mirror same long brown hair only difference was she had green eyes while mine were a crystal blue be safe Jessie I said you too Lexi see you in a few hours she smiled climbing in to the car with Sean.
Before I climb in to Jenson's car I pull my daggers out from my calf boots out of habit I never went anywhere unarmed, i looked them up and down then spun them in my hands loving the feel of them then slid them back in to there sheaths in my leather boots and climbed in Jenson's car I undone my leather jacket and done my usual weapons check, pulling out my throwing stars first making sure each one was ready to use when I needed it then slide them back in to there pockets reaching further in to my jacket I pulled out my daggers my babies I treasured these they had saved my life so many times before, rubbing my fingers along the side of the blades then kissed each one for luck it was my little ritual then slid them back in to place.
You ready Jenson asked as he drove through town Sean and Riley had gone to the other side of town, yep I'm more than ready to slice some vampires head off I smiled at him as we pulled up at the edge of town got out and walked in to old town it was a shit whole abandoned houses lining the roads spray paint on every wall or building gang tags or just crude messages, it use to be nice once everyone was so friendly back then it was a typical suburban town with white picket fences but then the new side of town got built with all the amenities within people's reach then slowly family by family they started moving out, then crime hit forcing the remaining family's to move to the new town making way for vampires to move in and make nests in empty houses.
Walking down the street with Jenson and Chris we passed burnt out and stolen cars no one ventured to this side of town any more, maybe a few teenagers on a dare but they never got far before they ran back as fast as there feet could carry them, I was in the heart of new town now looking round at the old shops I used to go in 10 years ago it was like a ghost town everything eerily still even the trees,
