It was like they were afraid to move and give away there position, I looked at the dead grass in the middle of the town square it was once a luscious green and full of life I used to sit there with Crystal and have a laugh but now even though a breeze shifted through the streets nothing moved not even the grass it sent a chill down my spine the creepy watching feeling any of us got when ever we patrolled here even Sean and Riley got that feeling sometimes coming up with nothing other times they had a busy night, looking round I realized that Jenson and Chris had walked off in different directions splitting off going down different streets,

I felt eyes boring in to me I scanned the area not seeing anything then walked forward to cherry road my old street cautiously my eyes for ever scanning trained to spot the unknown, i stopped halfway down the street outside number 42 my old house, I lived here with my brothers Jess and my parents but they were gone now due to a car crash claiming there lives it had been 9 years since they passed leaving Sean Joey and Trey to raise me and Jess we moved the year after to the new town back then we didn't have to worry about vampires.

Looking at the front garden the grass was over grown and dead the fence broken and falling down the front gate hanging on for dear life, that watching feeling came over me I wasn't alone the front door ajar a shadow moved passed it I pulled my daggers free from my jacket and slowly walked towards the front door noticing now that the screws had rusted on the number four and was leaning against the number two the once gold letters were now a dirty dusty orange in colour, i should of called Jen of chris but my mind wasn't paying attention as I pushed the door open it letting out a loud groan in protest and was met with a pair of

Shining yellow eyes they were fixed on me i watched them not moving waiting for it to make its first move,

I new he would be fast but i had the reflexes of a cat quick and deadly accurate he backed up I could see him smiling his fangs shining trying to lure me in but I stood my ground then he lunged at me moving fast swinging my daggers in one swift natural movement he stops inches in front of me his head rolling off his shoulders and bouncing out the door and down the path my eyes swept the area there was no movement or shining eyes, i don't no what came over me I shouldn't of done it I should of kept patrolling but my feet moved inside the house moving from room to room with old memories swirling in my head, I was so off my game tonight anything that attacked me would easily claim me.
