P.O.V Patrick

My heart stopped. It was nothing, I'm hearing things. Probably the guys playing a prank. There's nothing wrong with this house. There's no one there.. There was still a part of me who wanted to investigate. Just like a stupid person in a horror film. Or a fan fiction.. I leaned against the door as if I was trying to block any possible sounds out.

I heard it again. It was a little louder this time. Like it was raising it's voice, or coming up the stairs. I thought if I barred the door up I'd be able to block it. Oh God, Oh God. What can I do? I'm going to die. I haven't done so many things. Oh man. I decided that to end my curiosity and fear I would peak my head out the door, just for a second. I opened it very slowly, very silently. I couldn't see anyone. I took one step out of my bedroom and hung my head over the banister. Nothing there either. I heard a very, very faint whisper. "The door has opened Patrick. The door that drew your attention when you arrived. Take the opportunity. You can still save them." And then there was silence. Not a single whisper. Not a single creak. Nothing. But I felt a strong urge to check out the door. I couldn't control it, it was like I didn't want to stop. I knew I did. It's like trying not to eat sugary food, but doing it anyway. I crept down the stairs and started to slowly walk down the hall. The door had opened. Here it was, no remains of the bars. Not a note either. I walked down the steps the door had revealed and came to a room. It was a very basic room. Almost like an interrogation room, in a basement. There was one single chair in the room, and a huge chest with an also huge padlock. I heard the door slam behind me and a slinky figure waltz it's way towards me. I let out a scream.

This corridor again? It looks remarkably like the one in the mansion. Wait, there's the door that Patrick tried to open earlier. The one at the end of the hall. I carefully walked across the long corridor and realised that the door led to a set of stairs, leading down to a room. A dark figure came up from the stairs. Wait, it's not Patrick this time. It's like a shadow. Whatever, I'm not scared. This is a dream. It's just a dream. However as the shadow approached me I started to walk backwards. It got closer and closer to me and everything turned black.

I was woken up by a scream. Was that a scream? I opened my eyes wide and ran to the door fumbling with the doorknob trying to work it in complete darkness that surrounded me. It's not opening. What? Who locked it? I didn't lock it. There isn't even a key. I turned on the light in my bedroom, it sparked and went out. Matches? Where's the matches? By this time my eyes had already adjusted to the dark and I could see well enough to notice that the key was on a string around my neck. Who put this here?! I took it off my neck and unlocked the door. I hadn't any idea who the screaming was. I knocked on Joe's door, he didn't answer. His door was also locked. I tried Andy's. He also didn't answer and had a locked door. I knocked on Patrick's door, having my fingers crossed he'd answer. I tried to open his door, it was unlocked. However Patrick wasn't in it. My mind started to race. The scream, it was Patrick. It had to be. I ran into his room and searched around, hoping to find a lead. I found nothing. I ran down the stairs and looked out the front window. All I could see was black and a slight reflection of myself. I turned the doorknob on the front door, it was locked as well. I didn't know we even had a key.. We need to leave this house. First thing in the morning I'm going to tell Joe, Andy and Patrick. I heard another scream and I looked over to my right, down the hall that had the barred up door at the end. It had to be coming from there. I remembered my dream. This door.. was unlocked. Patrick must be in there. But why? How did he get it open? I crept down the hall, making sure to be very silent to listen for other signs. I put my ear up against the door. But I didn't here anything. Not a sound. Am I going mad? Maybe no ones there. I have to get Andy and Joe. Andy normally sleeps with his window open, I'll go out to the shed and see if there's a ladder and climb into his window. He'll think I'm a creep. But I knew it was my only way of finding out what's going on. I had to try at least. Before I could act, I heard the door open behind me.

I woke up in my bedroom.

P.O.V Patrick

"Wait! Stay back." I inched down the stairs pointing my finger at the figure. "Patrick.. I'm glad you could come." The shadow turned on a light and revealed itself. Herself. I didn't get a chance to get a good look before I was knocked out.

I woke up tied to a chair. The girl was unlocking the chest. She had long blonde hair and she was skinny, pretty tall. She turned round and I saw her face. Massive dark blue eyes and a black bandanna covering the majority of her face. I would admit she was extremely pretty. Beautiful, if she wasn't probably trying to kill me. She had skin tight leggings with an abstract pattern and a black leather jacket. She pranced around the room in her heels before grabbing another chair and parking it in front of me. She sat down on the chair. "First off, I apologize for knocking you out. Couldn't give you a chance right?" I spat in her face. She looked a little enraged, but kept calm. "Dirty boy. Besides, you can't blame me. This isn't my idea. I don't suppose you know, but there's a house down the path from here. It's quite small. Very cabin like. There's a girl there. I work for her you see. She requested me to bring 'the visitors' of the old mansion. That'd be you guys." She did look very sympathetic for me. "I don't care." I looked her directly in the eyes and snarled. "Fine Patrick. I'm just trying to do this the easy way. I've got a lot of patience for this job." She patted my head. I stayed silent, feeling a little bad considering she's being quite pleasant. "It's Macy, if you're wondering." I wasn't. To be fully honest the only thing on my mind right now was getting out. I didn't care about this chick. I don't care what she's doing, or her name. I gave a smile anyway, to avoid anymore conflict. "That's better. Glad to see you're being friendly." She got up and walked behind me. "There's one slight problem though." She whispered into my ear. "I already know you're going to be difficult. You seem one who isn't going to give up easily. I'm a young girl. Well youngish. And I'm never going to get 4 men out of the house myself. So I'm gonna have to take you one at a time. I hope you don't mind." She smiled a little viciously this time. She walked back over to the chest and leaned down to look into it. I looked away, not wanting to get attracted to 'Macy' in any way. "Right, this should do. Patrick I'm gonna need you to hold still darling." I felt a sharp pain in my arm and suddenly felt very drowsy. She untied me from the chair and put my arm over her shoulder. I stood up unwillingly as she led me up the stairs. I tried to fight it but whatever she injected me with made me really weak. She opened the front door after unlocking it and led me out to the car that was parked in the drive. "In you go Patrick. Come on don't be difficult." She snapped, getting irritated. She sat me down in a passenger seat. Every window was completely blacked out to the point where it was impossible to see in. Even still I banged on the windows, desperately trying to draw attention even though there was no one around. Macy reached into the back seat to get some rope and tied my hands together. I was totally screwed.

*This chapter wasn't scary this time haha. I realise that the title doesn't really make sense yet.. ah well;) The cover atm is temporary, working on a new one.*
