"Yeah! I guess that's fine. He knows that I'm, you know?" I asked as I tried to clean up some of the mess before they would come over. I swept up the glass from a few of the windows. I lived in a big house so I tried to convince myself it was just because of that. But it felt like it was because I identified as trans. And I hated it.
"He does. What? Oh okay. I got to go, Av. Bye!" Kevin said talking to someone else. Before I told him bye he hung up. I sighed and placed my phone down on the hearth of my fireplace. I muttered bye with a hint of sass and went back to cleaning up. I knew they would've trashed my whole home but I couldn't bear cleaning every room. I probably could skip the basement and the storage room on the fourth floor. That would leave about four floors to clean.
~Time Skip~
I lied on the soft grass staring up at the beautiful moon. Surrounding it the bright yellow stars that looked like they were dancing around in the deep blue sky. The soft hum of the crickets brought a sort of soothing song to my ears, I began to sing along with them. I traced the outline of the constellations that weren't there. The constellations I made up. The constellations that represented me. That represented us. I slowly let my hand float down as a small dog ran over to me. It was some sort of terrier puppy with dirty fur. It was skinny and looked like it hadn't drank in days. It had one green eye and one blue eye.
"Aww. Let's clean you up." I said as I stood up. It backed away and whimpered. "Oh it's okay. C'mere. I won't hurt you." It walked carefully to me and followed me about five feet behind. Once it got to my door I picked it up which resulted in me getting muddy but I didn't want my carpet to get muddy. I was surprised it trusted me so quickly.
"Let's clean you up." I told it as I stroked its head. I brought it up to the bath and turned on the warm water. I didn't push the drain down so it was just flowing. I grabbed a pitcher and slowly put the puppy into the tub. I then pushed the drain down and let it fill up to the dog's feet. I turned off the water and got a small bit of water in it. I dumped it gently over the dog's back and began to scrub it with my hand. As it washed away I was surprised to see what I saw.
On the side with the blue eyes it had blond fur. On the side with the green eye it had brown fur.
The fur was divided perfectly in the middle. Weird.
