It wasn't difficult for Amy to pull herself over the fence again, even with the heavy rain dowsing the links and making everything all slippery.

It had finally begun to rain, and Amy was hurrying down the mountain to make sure she and her new friend wouldn't get caught in their latest adventure. She could feel the adrenaline surge in her blood. She felt alive.

The sky was lumpy and gray with stormy clouds, pouring down its cool water onto the earth. The wind howled madly, and the trees swayed to its command. Her silky black hair whipped around her face as she raced downwards to find a teacher. Her clothes and body were drenched in water, making her shiver in the freezing air. Normally, she'd be extremely uncomfortable in a situation like this, but she wouldn't have asked for anything better. It felt like a real hero's adventure; the struggles, the energy and the atmosphere. She didn't care that she wasn't the main hero of the story. This was more than she could've ever asked for.

She had lost track of time as she ran down, letting the wind bite harshly against her frigid back to propel her forwards. She didn't even flinch when she spotted the first bolt of lighting, or when she heard the loud crash of thunder that followed. She didn't stop running until she heard someone call for her.

"Hey!" A human chaperone called from the side. She and her group were running down as well, but had stopped to talk to her. "Are you with us?"

A few moments later, Amy was standing with a nice lady's group, dialing Ms. Dreemurr's number. Helen - the group's chaperone - was a member of the school's PTA, so she conveniently had Ms. Dreemurr's number on hand. Helen had been nothing but kind to her, though she did notice how she would low-key ignore the only monster in the group.

"You want to use my phone?" Helen had said when Amy asked for a phone. "Alright. Just don't take too much time on it. I still need to talk to a friend of mine." Amy wanted to ask why she would be chatting with a friend while supervising children, but she kept her mouth shut.

As she waited for Ms. Dreemurr to answer, she scanned the group of kids. There were 4 of them, one of which was a round, plump bear with the most sparkly eyes Amy had ever seen. She had a cute red ribbon on her head, and she looked like a giant cuddly teddy bear. The bear talked timidly with a human boy while a human boy and a girl stood to the side, pointing and snickering at Amy. They were most likely making fun of her endless amount of freckles on her face and arms, or her two crooked, enormous front teeth that stuck out like a beaver's. However, Amy was already used to this, so she did not react.

"Hello?" A sweet voice came from the other side of the phone. "What is it, Helen? Have you made it back to the cafeteria?"

"Um," Amy began. "Hi Ms. Dreemurr. It's me, Amy."

"Oh!" Ms. Dreemurr said, surprised. "Are you and Frisk alright? You two have been missing since you went to see something up ahead and I-"

"Yeah, uh, we're fine," Amy reassured. "Don't worry about us. Frisk and I are with Helen and we're on our way to the cafeteria."

Ms. Dreemurr sighed. "Thank goodness you two are safe. What even happened to you two?"

A fleeting moment of fear passed over Amy, not sure what to say. At that moment of fear, she was reminded of the same fear she felt at the mountain. She gave a sly smile. "Frisk wanted to show me a really weird vending machine near the top of the mountain. People say no matter what you pay for, it always gives you this weird rainbow candy thing. So we went to check it out."

"And?"

"When we got there, we saw this, um, this boy and his friends. While I was distracted, he started to, y'know, say bad things to Frisk. So I went up to him and told him to leave us alone. By the time the whole thing was over, it started to rain. I'm really sorry Ms. Dree-"
