All through my morning classes, I was in a state of zoning out. I didnt pay much attention either. In fact, it didnt even felt like I had been in class to begin with. I kept replaying my nightmare over and over in my head. At first, I didnt think it would bother me. But once I did think about it, I felt nasty.

I glanced at the clock during my 3rd period class. I had science that period. I usually didnt have anyone to talk to. Sure, I knew people but still. I wasnt really too confortable with other people. Maybe I was socially ackwarrd. Mr. Bewley, the science teacher, interrupted my thoughts. He spoke loudly until everyone shut up.

"Attention, class. The Sector A's will be hosting a carnival this weekend from 12 to 5 p.m. If anyone is intrested in helping or attending please let me know ahead of time." He paused and eye-balled us. "That is all. Return to your MegaZord Chemical compostion Labs. Those are due tomorrow." Mr. Bewley shuffled some papers off his desk and sat on his chair. I stared at my nails and something poked me in the back.

"HEY! Nerd. Turn your dumb face and look at me." Some nasal voice spoke from behind me. I was kinda afraid to turn and look since I knew nothing good come out of it. But stupid me, I turned a whole 360.

A girl with bleached blonde hair was staring at me. Her stare was cold. But she had a smirk on her face. Her outfit was just too much. It was a white tank top with half her boobs hanging out. And her shorts werent shorts at all. Maybe long underwear. Oh, wait. I knew her. Her name was Britanny Davidson. She was known for her body and looks. Well just looks.

"Can I help you?"  I tried not to sound annoyed. Oh, well. Too fast, she pushed me off my chair. I landed with a thunk right on my butt. WTH?? What did I do to deserve this? She got up from her chair and reached for my hair. Just in time, I dogded her hand and she landed on the floor with her stomach down. Mr. Bewley came over immediatly.

"What the heck is wrong with you two?" He sounded mad. Our fight had gotten him pissed off.

"Nothing." I said. "Britanny here just wanted to start a fight for no reason." I got up and started to dust myself. Britanny was dumbfounded. She was still on the floor. She got up and walked out of the class. It was eerie quiet. I walked to the back of the class and got some towels. I had sweated from the moment.

Rule one of high school: If a girl wants to fight, you give it to her. I was sitting at lunch, munching on an apple. It was noisy for a cafeteria. People sat usually at the same place all year long. Cadettes with cadettes; Sector C's with C's; B with B and A with A. I sat with Martin, Hunter, Dustin, my friend Allison, and now with Tammy. I think.

I looked up from my lunch tray. And saw kind of a presentation, I guess. They walked in a certain formation. Arin came first. He walked, no glided down the corridor towards the cafeteria. His face was expressionless and whenever a girl pointed to him, a faint smile appeared on his pale lips. Running a hand through his hair he sat on a table about three away from mine.

Next came Martin. His outfit was different then this mornings: A polo shirt (green) and khakis accompanied by green hightops. His light brown hair was fanned across his tan face. Tammy walked right behind him, maybe laughing at his faces. She wore a yellow sun dress with light stripes. He nude pumps looked well with her chunky silver necklace and matching yellow hoops. Her hair was twisted into several curls and her bright brown eyes sparkled.

Then I saw Mairanni. Her outifit was normal but not quite. She wore a bright Aero sweater with the zipper down. Underneath she had on a Hello Kitty tank top. Her navy shorts were high waisted and I could almost see it's gold buttons. She had on flip flops. She was reading a book and walking next to Tammy. Her expression was almost acedemic. Arianna came in last, obiviouly shy.

Her outfit was different too. She wore a red, strapless shirt with a white cardigan. She had on shorts with white tights. Her shoes consisted of red flats. She had a red rose on her hair. Her face proberaly never needed makeup. She was already beautiful. I guess she liked to change clothes. Or she could afford it.

The walked through the door together. Martin spotted me and waved at me. I waved back. i felt someone behind me. I turned. It was Hunter. His green eyes were hungry with excitment. I cocked my head and smiled.

"Hey, Vee. How's it going?" He smiled and leaned his face on his right hand. I put my head on the table.

"Nothing much." I said. "You?"

He was about to answer when Martin, Tammy, and Mairanni sat in front of us. Arianna stood there, watching us. Shy girlie-girl. Tammy was the first to speak.

"OMGOSH, guys. I brought Ari with us. She's shy about sitting with us and we need to talk about that Carnival to raise money for new vechiles. We need to get to bad guys somehow." She chatted with Mairanni. Martin looked at me.

"Hey, dude. Sorry 'bout this morning." He sounded kinda upset we didnt get to talk.

"It's cool." I looked up at Arianna. She smiled faintly. The hair on the back of my neck stood on it's ends. I got a cold sweat on my arms. Arin strolled over to our table. He greeted everyone but me. Apparently we werent on good terms still. Arianna's face lit up suddenly.

"Hi, brother. Should we go out for lunch?" It didnt sound like a question. More like a demand. Arin nodded. Arianna wrapped her skinny, delicate arm around Arin's huge, muslcar arm and they walked away. I sighed and picked at my lunch. I just hoped they didnt have a brother x sister thing.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ It was 2:35 when we were released from school. Some had activites after school, while others just chilled at the rec center nearby until cerfew. Our group (minus Arin and Arianna) and plus Dustin, walked outside and sat under the oaks. It was fairly warm for Feburary. I smiled up at Mr. Sun. Martin had told me that the Rangers had combat practice and wanted me to come. I agree relunctly and tried to imagin myself doing such things. Technically I wasnt going to be a Ranger until I was ready. Or at least until one Ranger retired on their own or died (I hoped it never happens).

I  stole a glanced at Tammy. Her face was pinched up. She didnt want to take off her dress. It was manditory that they wore sweats and a t-shirt or their Ranger uniform. They got up and I followed. I jogged to catch up with Tammy and Mairanni.

"Where are we going?" I said.

"To the locker room," Tammy replied.

"I dont wanna change," Mairanni wailed. Now that I look at it, she reminds me of Sierren from Vampire Knight. Quiet but deadly.

"You gotta, missy." Tammy said to Mairanni.

Once in the locker room, they changed into sweats and tees. I watched as the put on knee guards, elbow guards and combat boots. They looked heavy and worn.

"What do you guys do in "Combat Practice" "? I asked Tammy.

"Just the usual. You know, jump through fences, walls. Ride wires with gloves. Oh, and today we have to morph on the spot. It'll be OK though. It's just you and some coaches." She put her hand on her forehead. "And I think the Black Ranger is coming too." She said it so casually too. I blushed. HIM? Oh, crap. Emmbarrsing act, here I come!
