For the record, I never wanted to be a half-blood. Although, there are some perks to being one. One of the good things that came out of it was being accepted into a family. I actually have a family and friends, not just that orphanage or a lonely school dorm. Secondly, I would have never had met 'him' if I was not a demigod. 'He' changed my life forever.

My name is Isabella Nightshade. My life has always been a mess but it just got worse about last October. I was moved to a new boarding school because I got expelled from the last one. This will be my seventh school in seven years.

"Isabella, welcome to Greenhill Middle School. I am Mrs. Silver and I am your advisor. I will lead you to your new dorm. " The silver lady said. I followed her reluctantly down the hallway and up the stairs to the third floor, which was crowded with teenagers.

They were wading through in small groups or talking on the sides, some were sitting on the floor! I noticed a few were wearing towels around their bodies instead of clothes and their hair wet, carrying shower bags in their hands. They all gave me smug looks like hey a new kid to make fun of!

"Your roommates are Elizabeth Castle, Mitchell Lamb, and Grover Underwood." She opened that door revealing a quiet room with three kids sitting on bunk beds in the two corners farthest from the door. The right half of the room was the obviously the boys' half and the left the girls'. Elizabeth, I'm guessing, was reading The Hunger Games while the boy on the top bunk read something about nature and the bottom bunk kid was playing a Zelda game on his 3DS.

Elizabeth had wavy blonde hair that was pulled back into a rough ponytail. Her eyes were icy blue and she wore a lightning bolt pendant around her neck. Seeing the necklace made me finger my own. A black and silver owl.

I'm guessing that the boy on the top bunk was Grover (I don't know why I have a hunch) had curly brown hair and must have been held back a few years because he had the starts of a wispy goatee.

The boy on the bottom bunk looked similar but could not be any more different. He too had brown hair but it was a curly afro at least an inch big, he wore overtop that a black beanie. His skin was really tan, like mine, and wore a black shirt, jeans, and converse, like me. He seemed different than a regular guy, though.

Mrs. Silver leads me to the left side and instructed me to drop off my bags there. She gave me my new schedule and then told the others to introduce themselves. Nobody moved. She huffed and then left the room with a Bam of the door. As soon as they were sure that she was gone, they all jumped on their beds simultaneously and began greeting me. I got their names right, which was a relief. Elizabeth was apparently one year younger than me, Mitchell was one year older, and Grover was my age. Weird, he didn't look like it. No offense but seventh graders do not have goatees and that much acne.

After we all got to know each other, I started to unpack my suitcase and arrange my clothes in the drawer. Then I unloaded my backpack full of books and then my other one full of books, and then some of the books that I put in my suitcase and put them all on my new bookshelf. I finished at sunset and looked out the window that gave me a perfect view of the beautiful autumn colors that flashed across the sky.

The entire time that I was unpacking, Grover kept looking down at me with a curious eye but looked away whenever I caught him. I got a strange vibe from all of my roommates. They were not right, like me!

Sometime around 7 pm Elizabeth jumps down from her bunk and says that it's dinnertime. I stood up, put away my book, and stretched myself out. Mitchell helped Grover with his crutches and we all walked out of our dorm and down the stairs. I lagged behind, following then silently, and every now and then, Grover would turn around, checking if I was still there. To be perfectly honest, he weirded me out.
