Annabeth POV

Oh my god. This was accelerating quickly. Me and Luke just reunited...and now this is happening.

He had proposed to me. Gave me a sky-blue ring. I said...I had said yes. I don't know...I was...

Luke POV

I proposed to her. I didn't just love her. She had power. I could tell.

She always refused to remove her golden gilded wrist cuffs. I knew she was hiding something. I could sense her aura from three meters away.

Last night I proposed to her. I gave her a ring. But it isn't just a ring. It's a tracker. I can know where she is at all times, as long as I'm flying. Yes, I said flying.

Whoops, my secret! Well, at least you don't know what I am.

The wedding was tomorrow. I got ready, as my servants made my chiton, and her gown.

Rachel met up with me. "So..." She said. "You're gonna marry that...that thing?!"

"Rachel." I said, cupping her face with my hands, "it's for the best, my beloved. Once I gain her power..."

"Are you sure?" She asked.

"Yes."

Her frizzy red ringlets rimmed her face like a gilded picture frame in the sun. Her emerald-green eyes were framed with thick, dark lashes. Beautiful. Her freckles were splattered across her face, like a paint mix.

She took my hands, and I sensed her forbidden presence. I knew me and her weren't supposed to love, since me and her were both...different, in a magical way.

Well.

"Bye Luke..." She said. I held her hand. "Bye, Rach. I love you."

She kissed me, and I melted into a pool of Luke.

I stood there, smiling stupidly. "Annabeth..." I whispered. "Your power is mine. Don't hate me."

Annabeth POV

I slept in a deep slumber.

When I woke up, I felt very insecure. Did I love Luke? Did I? As soon as I had these feelings, I suddenly was overcome by a feeling of insurance. I did.

Luke POV

Did I mention that ring is enchanted with love magic?

Annabeth POV

As I changed into my long white, new silky chiton, the maids did my hair.

Oh god. I was going to walk up the isle soon.

-Time Elapse-

I walked up the isle. Luke did look very handsome...still I felt like something was wrong.

"Annabeth..." He said. "You look beautiful."

He was dressed in a toga, with a purple cape flowing behind him. The people watching muttered words of encouragement and approval.

As I walked up onto the stage, eyes all stared my way. I noticed the emerald-green eyes of a frizzy, red-haired freckled girl with vibrancy in her every step.

The priest stood at the centre, his white robes shining in the sunlight. His blond hair and ice-blue eyes stared intently at me, as I stood there.

"Do you, Luke Castellan, promise to cherish and love Annabeth Chase till death? Through fortune, poverty, sickness, good health, and misunderstanding?"

"I do."

I gulped. My palms were starting to sweat. "Do you, Annabeth Chase, agree to the same terms?"

"I..." It's not too late. If you decide...

"I...I...uh..." I gulped. Everyone was staring at me. Luke looked quite agitated.

"I...do?"

Everyone clapped and cheered. Though, deep down, I knew something was wrong. Was...I...not in love with him?

I pushed down the feelings, as Luke threw his arms around me, and kissed me.

His lips were rough and cold. It felt not nice and all, like it was forced.

I looked into the audience, and saw the redhead glaring at me with such contempt, that I thought I would combust.

After the wedding was the reception. There was Bundt cake, grapes, cheese, bread, water, and figs.

"Congrats, Annabeth Castellan!" People cheered.

But I immediately knew I hated this. I didn't wanted to be Annabeth Castellan. I wanted to be Annabeth Chase.

This was the biggest mistake I ever made in my life. I realized that now, I didn't love him. I never did. I...now...I hated him.
