Cassi POV:
This happened every day of my life; I woke up to the sounds of raised voices and screams. Thankfully today I was lucky. I quickly took a shower, got dressed, and rode my bike to my bro's apartment. I hated the fact how I could not even help my mom, now I knew why Drake left the moment he turned 18. Cuz sooner or later, he would have been tempted to shoot the wife-beating bastard.
Oops, let me tell you a bit more bout myself. I'm 5'9, slim, brown/green eyes, black hair, olive skin, and I'm 16. I play the electric guitar, and piano. I LOVE to play soccer, and the moment my mom married the BITCH, I have to call my step-father began beating her. The problem was that the moment I tried to stop him, he'd focus his rage on me.
*Flashback*
I remember the day my bro turned 18, Robbie, came into the house and go in a rage, because mom hadn't cooked him the meal he wanted. He grabbed her by her hair and practically dragged her across the room.
I could hear her body connect with the wall as he threw her across the room. Drake hadn't come home yet, and I could see the intent for murder clear in his eyes. I had dashed in front of him and slapped him across his face, in return I got cut. For the rest of my life the memory I got for trying to help my mom, was a crude, jagged, criss-crossed X on my lower back.
I was jarred out of my flash back, by the loud honking of a horn. Looking up out of my tear-filled eyes I quickly swerved to avoid the car backing up out of the drive way.
