Marcus x Reader (Lab Rats)

Chapter Two: Meeting Adam, Bree, and Chase

Y/n's POV: 

Today I am finally going to be meeting Adam, Bree, and Chase. I asked Douglas why Marcus and I just couldn't capture them when Marcus introduces me, but Douglas said that I have to try and make them my acquaintances so that they fall right into a trap. Clever plan. 

I still don't understand the whole importance of school though. I also asked Douglas why kids needed school and he told me that not everyone in the world has super smarts. I guess that makes sense.   

Marcus explained the whole plan to me. Like how he's going to introduce me, what I should say, et cetera. I have to say, Marcus is a very good partner. With both of us working together, taking on Adam, Bree, and Chase will be nothing. 

So the next day, I get dressed for school.

I stepped out of my capsule. Marcus was ready as well. "You look nice, y/n," Marcus said with a smile. I smiled back. "Same to you, Davenport," I replied. "Alright you two," Douglas started as he got into the lab. "Remember what the plan is for today. I want a full report when you guys get back." Marcus and I nodded. "Alrighty, then. Let's take you two to school," Douglas said with a smirk.

-Time skip-

We got into school. It wasn't like I expected though. I mean, even though Marcus described every little detail to me, I still had a different picture of it in my mind. "You remember the plan?" Marcus asked me as we were both about to walk in. I nodded. "Yeah. I got this." 

Marcus opened the door for me. "There they are," He said as he pointed to three teenagers. I took a deep breath. Here we go. I put these fake glasses on and I walked over to Adam, Bree, and Chase. (Leo was there too. Marcus told me about how Leo is onto us. I hope I'm not making him suspicious.) 

"Excuse me, can any of you tell me where the Principal's office is?" I asked them. "You want to go see the Principal? Good luck getting out of there alive," Adam said. Chase bumped Adam's shoulder. "Sure, it's right over there," Bree said as he pointed to a closed door. "Thank you," I said with a fake smile. "No problem," Chase replied. 

"I'm Leo, what's your name, chickadee?" Leo asked me as he smoothed his hair. "Y/n! There you are!" Marcus exclaimed as he started to briskly walk towards me. "So far so good," I thought to myself. 

"I was looking all over for you," Marcus said to me. "Wait, you know her?" Leo asked as he pointed at me. "Yeah. Guys, this is y/n. She was my... best friend from my hometown," Marcus explained. "It's nice to meet you, y'n! I'm Bree, this is my older brother Adam, my younger brother Chase, and of course you met our step-brother, Leo," Bree told me. 

I smiled. "It's nice to meet you all." "Hey, can I call you, n/n?" Adam asked. I look at Marcus confused. "It's a nickname," He whispered to me. "Oh um... I'd prefer y/n," I told him. "N/n it is," Adam said with a grin. 

Chase rolled his eyes. "Ignore him. He's an idiot." I laughed. "It's alright.  "I'm so confused. Y/n is actually nice and Marcus is a creeper with a funky eyebrow?" Leo asked. Marcus and I glanced at each other. "Leo, don't be stupid. Marcus is awesome too," Bree replied. 

I exhaled. Good. No suspicion equals no problem. "Well, we better get to class. It was nice meeting you, y/n," Chase said as he grabbed his backpack. "You guys as well. I'm really glad I made such good friends on the first day," I said with a fake smile. 

"Yeah, maybe we could all hang out or something after school," Marcus suggested. "Yeah, our place is good. We can all hang there," Bree said. Wow, things are really falling into place. "Great. See you guys then," I said. 

-Time skip-

Marcus and I had spent basically all day with Adam, Bree, Chase, and Leo. I had already discovered a lot of key strengths and weaknesses. Marcus and I got home into the lab and we started discussing some new things we've learned and how we can use the information to grow stronger. 

I feel like Marcus and I are on the same page a lot. I'm really glad Douglas has us both working together. We both give each other opinions that makes us become smarter and more powerful. I really like that feeling. 

Douglas looked over our work from today. "Good job today, y/n and Marcus. We are one step closer to capturing Adam, Bree, and Chase. Keep up the good work," Douglas told us. Marcus and I were very pleased. This was going to be easier than I thought.
