Harry's POV
My dad has been sponsoring this school since the day we've moved here. Which is why I got to be in a dorm by myself.
I wasn't too happy about moving from England's little village called Holmes Chapel to Miami. I'm not really social person, so I find it hard to make a new friends. I'm glad I can live alone this year maybe I'll find myself a room mate for the next.
The room is pretty simple. One bed in the corner on the left side, desk on the right side is a and a closet. Speaking of closets.. I always knew I'm a bit different than others and everyone else clearly knew as well. That was why I got picked on in high school. I've been called faggot multiple times even if I never had a boyfriend, but I haven't had a girlfriend either. Apparently if you don't date anyone in high school you're weird.
The only person I liked in school was my neighbour Lauren. When the people realized she was my friend their teasing started to slowly vanish. They respected her because she was quite popular and everybody liked her. Even though she was hanging out mostly with the mean girls and boys she was always kind and fair to everyone no matter their position in a 'food chain'.
Luckily for me, she was also student here at Hutcherson's College. She is sophmore now, though, so I won't be attending any of her classes. She offered me to show me around the campus.
Whereas she is currently having lunch with her 'new cute roomie' as she called her in the text she had send me. I decided to read a book for a while.
Lauren's POVMe and Camila left the pizza place laughing. I was just telling her story about a girl I lived with last year. She had some weird-ass obsession with fire. I don't know how had she done it, but her painting caught on fire. So to cover up the black smudge from the fire on the wall I was allowed to paint something on it.
Unfortunatelly, I can't spend more time with the beautiful girl beside me. I promised my old friend Harold to show him around. We've known each other since he was 15 and I 16. So it's four years now. Damn, how the time flies.
"I'm sorry for prolonging your suffering by forcing you to eat with me. But I wanted to make up for making you wait by the door so long." I said to her, but she doesn't look like she mind spending time with me. I smiled at the thought.
"It's ok Lauren, really. You don't have to apologize again." She checked her phone and smiled at me. "I gotta get goin'. I didn't even unpack my stuff yet and I have to go and meet someone now. I guess I'll see you later." She said and turned around ready to leave. "Oh, and Lauren!" She faced me again. "Next time is on me." I smiled genuinely and watched her leave.I took my phone out of the front pocket of my black jeans. They should make those things bigger. Seriously, how are you supposed to fit your phone in there? I dialed Harrold and waited for him to pick up.
,,Hey, Hazza! Get your ass down to the Frenzy froyo. I'll wait outside." I didn't leave him any choice to talk me out of it. He'd probably want to hang out somewhere in a quiet park away from the people, but this place is always filled with them no matter where you go.
Everytime he came to visit me my first year here, we'd go to the Frenzy froyo and talk the day away. But as the time flew I got to know a lot of people, I started to play softball like I used to in highschool and took extra art classes. So I hardly ever got time for him. But that's gonna change now. He's here with me and I'm gonna be a good friend to him again. I gave myself a little goal and hit the road. It isn't far from the pizza place so I was there in a few minutes.
As expected, he was there even sooner than I was.
"Hey, my beautiful boy." I greeted him with a hug.
"Hi, party girl." My reputation precedes me.
We walked into the froyo shop and stand in the line. I don't know any other place that would have so much variety of flavours, toppings and sprinkles. I usually just get the same every time. Just simple strawberry froyo, chocolate topping and gummy bears. Harry on the other hand always gets the weirdest combinations.
"I'll have the chocolate froyo with sour worms and kiwi topping." Harry said to the employee behind the counter."Aren't you pregnant, Styles? You have some weird-ass apetite." I said and payed for my froyo. He laughed and showed me his adorable dimples. He looks like a little puppy.
I showed him the park behind school which was usually quiet enough to go relax there. Today was an exeption because most of the freshman arrived with their parents and wanted to look around the campus."I won't even show you the area where the sporty people go. I assume you're still awfull at sports." I joked and nuged Harry's shoulder with my fist playfully.
"Yeah, nothing has changed here. We can just sit here by the pond or something and catch up." He suggested.
"You can sit here all year if you wanna, but today I'm going to show you around the fraternity and sorority's houses. Those people who live there throw the best parties ever. I know you're not really party boy, but you should definitely come with me sometime."
Harry's POVI agreed to go look around the fraternity houses, butjust out of curiosity. I'd never want to be a part of one anyway, nor would Iget accepted. I really enjoyed the park behind school, though.
The nature wasso calming and beautiful. There were plenty of flowers and trees. But the pondintrigued me the most. The whole campus is situated very well. There are someshops, cafes, restaurants either the fancy ones or just for local students whocan't afford much since they're paying for school. The Miami beach is just anhour away. There is a huge night club not far from here.
I won't remembereverything that Lauren said, though. We got so much information this morning, that I'm afraid I'll mess up something the first week. Or a month.
"I present you the most famous fraternity of our school, the biggest drunkenassholes ever. This is our soccer team." Lauren said and I looked in thedirection she was pointing in. All I could see was a flying soccer ball soon tobe colliding in my face.
"Oh my god?! Are you ok?" Lauren asked. I shook my head 'yes' but my vision wasblurry. I saw some guy approaching us.
"Oops!" he said when he looked at my face.
"Hi."
"I'm so sory, mate." He said in a british accent.
"Been drinking, Louis? Got some bad aiming here." Lauren said to the guy and Iwas finally able to see him. My head was still pounding from the pain. He looksa bit older than me, but I'm taller than him. He smirked he just did was sodamn hot.
"Lauren, my dear, what were you up to whole summer?" Louis asked Lauren. Now Ican actually remember Lauren talking about her drinking buddy. This might behim.
"I spent most of it at Vero's beach house with the girls partying, chilling. You know how they are." Lauren said. Vero is her best friend along with Lucy.
"Yeah, that's cool. Who's your friend here?" he said and looked at me. Hetousled his brown hair and smiled.
"That's Harry, friend from back home. It's his first year here so be nice!"Lauren introduced me.
"Nice to meet,ya. I'm Louis." He squeezed my hand tightly and smiled again. Ireciprocated the smile and let his hand go.
"You should both come to the party this Friday. We let everyone settle in forthe two days and then we must celebrate the reunion." Louis seemed prettyexcited about it. But I don't think I'm gonna go."We'll see, Loui. Now we gotta get going. See you later punk." Lauren saidready to leave.
,,You totally liked him, Harold." Lauren teased. "You were all smiley, showingoff your adorable dimples." She laughed.
"Stop it, Jauregui! I was not!"
"Whatever you say, whatever."
Well, I guess he was kinda handsome. And had a really pretty smile, too.A soccer player.
