My Life As A Teen Mermaid

3. Stalker Mode!

Another day at school. It's just a normal day for me. Just went to arts class. I miss Jace..I haven't seen him for two days.. I should probably go to his house and see if he's okay. Maybe I'll go after school but i should ask my parents first.

<At arts lesson>
I was listening to some boring briefing about how the mona lisa painting was drawn and when and stuff. I wanted to draw some stuff.
Then, a girl called Abigail came to me and sat next to me. "Hi" she said. I smiled back. I think she's stalking me because i always see her
like everywhere i go. I went to the supermarket once and i saw her there. Then i went to the book store to buy a book and she was there
again. It happened to me like five times but i'm thinking that it might just be a coincidence.
The bell finally rang and i rushed to the cafeteria. Since Jace isn't here, i shall sit alone for lunch. 50% of myself is worried about him but the other 50% says why you leave me here alone with these people?! Why?!?! But i'm still worried about him. Anyways, I saw Abigail taking pictures of me. Now, she's really freaking me out..

<After school >
I called my mom and dad to make sure that they know that i was going to Jace's. I walked to Jace's house even though it was quite far away. For some reason i really like walking. So while i was walking i think i saw someone following me.. I looked back and saw no one. It really scared me so i fastened up my walking speed and ran to Jace's house. Finally, I found Jake's house. I ran and hurried to ring the door bell because i was sure that someone was following me.. Jace's dad opened the door.
"I'm here to see Jace" i said.
"Come in" Jace's dad said.
"I haven't seen Jace in a few days.. I was just wondering what happened to him so i thought i'd drop by and see if he was okay" i said back.
" We haven't seen him in a few days also. We were worried that something might've happened to him" Jace's mom said.
" Oh my god.. What could've happened to him? The last time i saw him was at the party and then.." I stopped
" And then what?" Jace's parents' asked
" And then he drove me home" i answered.
That got me thinking what if someone saw me with my tail and knew that Jace knew about my secret too? What will i do? I will never forgive myself if something happens to him.
"Thanks again and please call me if you find out anything" i said
"Okay. Thanks for dropping by again Elizabeth" they said back.

<Walking home>
I called my mom to say that i was walking back home. My mom and dad are always busy. They're like scientists. But they study UFOs and stuff. And mermaids... Which makes me wonder if i should tell them or not. I'm also thinking if me being a mermaid will last forever. It is cool to be a mermaid but i do miss swimming and surfing without me turning into a half fish.. What if something really did happen to Jake. What will i do? But what would happen to him anyways? I don't think he did anything wrong.. Or he did.. But what? These thoughts kept bothering while i was walking home. I kept thinking and thinking. Then at the corner of my eye, i saw someone following me again. This time i decided to take a cab home just to be safe and i really feel scared about who the stalker is. I've decided to take a cab home every time because i feel like someone keeps following me so yeah i decided to take a cab every time i come home from school.

<At home>
I took a shower and ate dinner with my parents. Thank god it's finally their off from work.
"So how's work mom? What are you guys working on now?" I asked.
"Oh, this time were working on a very interesting project. Were studying about mermaids. These creatures are very facinating. Your father and i have read and searched a lot about them" my mother said.
"Oh" i almost choked when they said the word "Mermaid". I tried to change the topic by telling them how Jace is lost. I don't really know if he's lost or whatsoever but yeah. I really feel worried about Jace's safety. I wonder where he is..
<At around 12:30am>
I woke up and heard my parents fighting about something. I didn't bother listening so i went back to sleep.

Mom's POV
'I think it is the right time for her to know the truth' Michael said (Elizabeth's dad)
'I don't think she's ready to know yet' i said.
'Well how long do you want to keep the secret from her?' Michael said
'As long as we can Michael. As long as we can' i said.
'Whatever you say. But i'm suggesting that you tell her earlier' Michael said.

Hey guys i haven't updated my story in like a few months and i'm sorry about that. I promise i'll try to update my story more often. Hope you guys enjoy and i decided to have a little twist of mystery and suspense in my story so hope you guys liked it. I will really try and do my best to update every week.
