The little nine tails was staring right at me for a while and it hasn't moved at all from the scroll at all. I stiffened as I saw it lift one paw and took a step forward then another and another until it jumped on my bed. I opened my mouth to say something but the sound of footsteps made me snap my head towards my door. The little fox seemed to have heard it as well since it glanced at the door too. Without a second thought I grabbed the little fox and my pillow then squashed it against me so that anyone that came in would only see the pillow.
My door opened to see my little brother, Dustin. We were the only ones that inherited moms red hair while the rest either had black or navy blue or ice blue hair.
"Hey sis it's time for...," he raised his eyebrow,  "what exactly are you doing?"
"I...uh... I'm fine j-just pissed at a certain s-someone is all." The fox kept squirming so I kept stuttering as I tried to keep it hidden by the pillow.
"Dark-aniki said something again didn't he?"
"..."
"Well dinners gonna be ready in a bit."
"..."
"You know I don't care right? Neither does Jade." As he's about to close the door I muttered something.
"Thanks Dustin" and with that he closed my door as I breathe a sigh of relief.
The pillow is suddenly out of my grip as I stare at an angry fox that is growling right in my face.
"Ya stupid girl are you trying to kill me or what!" The fox spoke. THE FOX SPOKE! Wait, what the hell did he call me.
"It's not like I was given time ya damn fox! At least be grateful that no one saw you! And the name's not 'girl' it's Krista got it!" I yelled right back at it. We both glared at each other for a while before I turn and get off my bed to receive the scroll that was still on the floor. I put the scroll on my book shelf then turned towards the fox who seem to have not stopped glaring at me.
"Listen, I don't know what happened so don't ask me. But we have to got to my ji-chan place out in the forest tomorrow."
"Tch... Why would an old geezer know about what going on girl."
"Cause he's the one that made everyone of the scrolls in the shed which I found this scroll in."
I exited my room and didn't enter it until after having dinner and taking a bath. When I got back the fox was sleeping on the ground so I picked it up and laid him on my bed next to my pillow. I looked out the window to see a bright full moon which made me smile since ji-chan says a full moon is always lucky.
The next day I got up and got dressed in a tribal outfit. (the one above. Red is dark blue) Which I had to wear since ji-chan wouldn't see me other wise but I didn't mind. The fox was looking outside the window not paying attention to me which suit me just fine. My hair was in a small side braid while my hair reach the middle of my back a lot shorter than its full length.
I exited the house when I heard padded feet walk next to me as we entered the forest that surrounds the shrine. The forest was a sanctuary for me; the shade from the trees along a sunlit path, the wind blowing gently as I took steps further in going deeper into the forest.
"Oi! You do know your barefooted right?"
"Well ya I hate wearing shoes in the forest! It feels unnatural." It was true I've always felt that way when I wore shoes when I went into the forest. After walking for around 10 minutes we made it to a red archway with a small shrine house not far a head. I saw someone sitting on the edge of the outer walk way of the house. I knew who it was instantly when I saw the white robes he wore.
"Ji-chan!" He looked our way as I ran towards him not caring if the fox followed or not. I smiled as I greeted him.
"Kai, it sure has been a while since your last visit hasn't?"
"Yeah it has but you sure seem to be in good shape for an old geezer, that is."
BAM!
"Ahh! Ji-chan why~?"
"I may be old but that doesn't mean I can't fight. Why are you here anyway? You're supposed be going to school."
"Uh well you see I kinda need your help."
I looked up at ji-chan after saying that and say him arch an eyebrow.
"The girl means me, you damn old man!" I turned to see the fox growl as it made its way to my side.
"Kai, what's the meaning of this?"
"Well you see..."
I was nervous the whole time trying to explain the situation to ji-chan who listened to it as we sat in one of rooms of his small shrine. After I finished, he gave me a small smile and told me it was all ok and to let him and Kurama talk alone.
"Kurama? Whose Kurama?"
Ji-chan looked at the red nine tails with hints of amusement in his eye, "You haven't told her yet?" It was like he already knew what that stupid fox.
"Like I'd tell this stupid girl that." The fox stated as he turned his head away from me. I was confused about to what they were going on about but pushed that aside to focus on why I had actually came.
"Ji-chan," the old geezer looked in my direction, "why was he in the scroll and why did the mark react like it did?"
His eyes hardened over as I mentioned my mark and a frown was present of his face. After a while he spoke up with the utmost seriousness.
"It would seem that you and kyuubi are bonded, which means if one does the other will follow soon after."

"WHAAATTT!!!!"
