Chapter 3: Who Is My Mom?

Dear Mrs. Kardashian West and Ms. Martin,

The results to your DNA test came in. The percentage is...   0.01%.

I couldn't believe it. I really let my hopes up thinking Kim Kardashian West was my mom how could I? I start crying and then I hear Kim crying too, why was she crying? She knew I wasn't her daughter why would she even do this to me?

(K) "Why are you even crying? You knew you weren't my mom and you let my hopes up. I should have known you were doing this for publicity."

(KKW) "Kalani I am your mom. I'm not doing this for fame or publicity. I know you may believe that something had to have gone wrong, you are my daughter."

(K) "You're such a lier. How could something have gone wrong they are professionals there. Just get out and leave me alone. Bye now."

I was so mad I just stormed upstairs.

(KKW) "Kalani come back."

I ignore Kim and go to my room and shut the door.

Kim's POV

I know Kalani is my daughter. I know something went wrong with that DNA test I just need to find out. I go to the DNA place again and once I get there I tell him that I know something went wrong. I know Kalani is my daughter. They tell me nothing went wrong I'm so upset I call Kanye and tell him.

2 Days Later

Mrs. Rose's POV

I go to check the mail and find a letter from the DNA place. I called Kim and tell her about the letter she comes as quick as she can.

Kalani's POV

(M) "Kalani come down Mrs. Kardashian West is here to see you."

I really don't want to go down there, I am still mad. I end up walking down and going to Mrs. Rose's office. I walk in and see Kim holding a letter in her hand from the DNA place.

(M) "I got a letter sent to SunnySide from the DNA place and I thought you two should be together  to open it. Kim opens it and we start reading. The letter says...

Dear Mrs. Kardashian West and Ms. Martin,
We are sincerely sorry, we made a mistake on your DNA test. The actual percentage is 99.9%. 

I'm so happy I start crying, I look over and see my Mom crying too. I go to hug her and she hugs me. I feel so bad about those mean things I said to her.

(K) "Mom I'm so sorry for all those mean things I said to you when we opened the first letter. I was so angry, I thought you lied to me. I love you so much Mom, I'm so sorry."

(KKW) "It's okay Kalani. I love you too."

We hugged again and I didn't want to let go. I finally knew who my Mom was.

(KKW) "Mrs. Rose I am going to adopt Kalani how fast can the adoption go?"

(M) "The adoption is going to take about 1 week, and within that week you cannot visit Kalani, only speak to her."

(KKW) "1 whole week without seeing Kalani. How am I going to last? I guess I will have to survive somehow. I can at least talk to her on the phone, right?"

(M) "Yes you may talk to her on the phone, that includes phone calls and video chats, but unfortunately Kalani doesn't have a cell phone to video chat you."

(KKW) "Would it be fine if I bought her one?"

(M) "I believe that would be fine if you bought her one but it would have to be before you start the adoption."

(KKW) "Can we go today?"

(M) "Yes that would be totally fine but have Kalani back by 8 p.m."

I go get ready to leave with my Mom. Once I am ready we leave and head to the Apple Store. We get to the Apple Store and Mom gets me the IPhone 7, Rose Gold. Mom took me out to dinner and then we headed back to SunnySide.  Mom says goodbye to me and kisses me on the check before I walk inside. Once I get inside I get in the shower then I go to sleep. I hear my alarm go off at 7:30 a.m. I wake up go brush my teeth and hair, then I wash my face. I go downstairs and eat breakfast. After that I go to my room and my Mom facetimes me. I answer and we talk for about an hour.

2 Weeks Later

It's been about a week since the adoption went through, but I still couldn't go live with my Mom. I get to go with her in 3 days.

3 Days Later

I finally get to go live with my Mom today. It's 9 in the morning and I get in the shower so I can be ready b 10 when my Mom gets here. I get done showering, dry my hair a little bit and do 2 dutch braids (signature Kim Kardashian style.😂) I go to pick out my clothes and pick some distressed skinny jeans, a black Yeezus shirt Kanye gave me, and some white Vans. Once I'm ready I sit down and text my Mom.

Me: Hey Mom Just Got Done Getting Ready What Time Will You Be Here?
Mom: I'm on my way right now from the house. Do you want anything to eat from McDonald's? I'm taking Nori.
Me:Yeah Sure. Can you get me a Oreo McFlurry? Please And Thank You. Love You, See You And Nori Here.❤
Mom: I love you too.❤

It takes Mom about 15 minutes to get here. When she gets here Lizzy runs to my room and gives me a huge hug crying, I'm crying too.

(L) "I can't believe you're leaving, you better call me all the time and visit me!"

(K) "Don't worry Liz. I will call you everyday. I love you bestfriend."

(L) "I love you to bestfriend. Let me walk you downstairs."

Lizzy walks downstairs and gives me one last hug before I leave. I walk out the door crying and look back and see Lizzy crying. I got in the car and Mom, Nori, and I head for lunch. We get to Nobu and paparazzi is crazy. I get pulled into the crowd by a hand and it's gripped onto my wrist so tight I can't get out. I yell for my Mom.

Kim's POV

(K) "Mom! Help Me!"

I get so scared who the hell pulled my daughter into the crowd? Our security came and starts pulling through through the crowd. I would go in and look for Kalani but North is with me.
(N) "Mommy where is Kali?"

Kalani's POV

I'm scared out of my mind. I don't know who this is. I start feeling the person pulling me away from the crowd. Suddenly we are away from the crowd. I can't see my Mom, only the bodyguards but they don't see me.

(K) "Mom! They are pulling me away!"

I try getting away but I can't. The crowd is getting more distant. I kick the person but....
