Chapter 2:Friends

Yesterday is a complete disaster. For the nth time, I told him that the wound is going to sting! Can't he understand that? He keeps on complaining, and he was the one who suggested me to treat his wounds. Oh well, at least I got a free food and a 'thank you'. But come to think of it, when I went to his house, it's awfully quiet. That's creepy. I wonder if he's living alone?

Sinking myself in my own thoughts, I didn't notice what's in front of me and accidentally bumped into someone. My books fell down and I frowned. Looking up, I saw Dell with his usual annoyed-face.

Speak of the devil." I thought.

"That's what happens when you're daydreaming of me while walking." he teased. I blushed hard. Great, now I'm stuck with a guy so full of his self and has ESP!? That doesn't even make any sense! I should be happy now that he's slowly opening up, but this guy is crazy!

When he realized my tomato face, he grinned.

"What? Cat got your tongue?" he smirked. I was about to say something but was cut off when the bell rang.

"Don't worry. There'll always be a next time for a love confession~" he winked and walked away. I stared at him in disbelief but can feel my cheeks getting red.

Sleeping in class isn't really the best idea especially when the teacher caught you dozing off.

"Haku!" the teacher called. I quickly jumped up and straighten myself.

"Sir! Yes, sir!" I answered, doing a hand salute. Giggles and soft chuckles filled around the room and that's when I realized my mistake. A tinge of pink covered my face as I drown myself in the sea of embarrassment.

The teacher cleared his throat and began asking his question,

"Let's see if your dreams could answer my question..." the teacher started throwing questions at me. Good thing I was able to answer. I was about to take a seat just when,

"And now, for the last question..." I stared in horror. Why is he not running out of questions?

I accidentally glanced at the window only to see Dell. He saw me and waved his hands as if it was nothing. The teacher cleared his throat again which made me turn my head to him again. I didn't hear his last question. This is bad.

"I..uhmm..uh.."

I checked the window to see Dell. He's already sitting on top of a tree branch while holding a huge paper.

I tilted my head and murmured what was written on the paper. Then, I realized that it was the answer to the teacher's question...or at least that's what I think. I turned to my teacher and repeated what was written on the paper.
