[ During the journey ]

- Ashton's POV -

Here I am. With Sarah. She looked really cute when she's asleep.

I was just wondering.

Why would a guy hurt a pretty, young, innocent girl? If only I had the chance to meet up with that guy. I would have killed him by then.

As her boyfriend, I have to use all my might to protect her no matter what. I don't want to lose her easily. She's like the other half of my heart.

Without her, I wouldn't know what to do.

To be honest, there is something special about her than the other girls I dated. She's funny and she does not over-react whenever I'm around. That was the kind of girl I would like. But... How am I going to explain to Sam about all this thing?

I don't want to lose any of them. Neither Sarah nor Sam.

I've gotta do something.

- Sarah's POV -

All I could think was Ashton and I. Enjoying the lovely sunset in my dream. He loves me. I know it. However, we are not ready to tell my brother about this matter. He would freak out. Even worse, he would dump Ashton. It would all my fault.

[ The next morning ]

"Beep! Beep! Beep!" went my phone.

I got a call from Jennifer at such a early morning.

"Hello?" I answered.

"Hi Sarah. How are you feeling today?" She asked.

"I'm alright. Thanks."

"Good to hear that. ^_^ "

"So how was your night yesterday? After I left."

"It went well, but then I just got over it."

"Wait. What do you mean by that?" I questioned.

"Well, after you left, Ryan got a call from a girl. I can't really recall what her name was."

"Oh... then?"

"If I'm not mistaken, I heard her calling Ryan "baby"..."

"Umm... I guess he's back to his old self, Jennifer." I sighed.

"Honestly speaking, since then, I just ignored him and went off myself. I literally left him at the restaurant."

"He must be sad..." I replied.

"If he was worried about me, he would have ended the call, instead of ignoring me for 10 minutes..."

"Don't worry Jennifer. I know you'll find a better one than Ryan. He's just a piece of shit. That's all."

"I hope so. Because I don't want to be left the odd one once we have our prom in few months time." Jennifer mumbled.

"Anyway, so how are you and Ashton doing?" She cut in.

"We were thinking about telling Sam about this whole thing."

"Woah woah woah... I don't think it's a good idea." She sighed.

"Sooner or later, I have to come clean and tell my bro the truth." I said.

"Don't you worry, I'll always be right there supporting both of you." She cheered.

"Aww... that's so sweet Jennifer. Thank you so much. I don't know what to do if I don't have you as my bestie." I smiled.

"What are best friends for, right?"

"Yuppp."

"By the way, I gotta go to school right now. First period is history. Worst lesson ever!! You coming, right?" she said.

"Yea. I'm going to right now. All set. See you soon in class then."

"Alright. See ya, Sarah."

I ended the call, and quickly went to get change for school.
