Out beyond the door

I grab my glock as I open the door only to be aiming my gun at Corben with his hands in the air. 

"Fuck Corben you scared the hell out of me." I sighed and lower my gun.

"Sorry Kenzie" he chuckled "I just wanted to come over and check to see how every thing is over here" He said with a smile on his face.

Every thing is good here, just got done feeding Judith and putting her to sleep" I say smiling.

"Do you have an experience with kids?" He said as he gave me a questioning look 

"Yea, I used to help take care of my sister and cousins when they were little" I say as my smile fades into a frown.

~FLASH BACK TO BEFORE I LEFT~

"You can't be serious about helping him with this" my mom says as she grabs my glock out of my bag.

"Yes mom I am serious. Some people shouldn't deserve to live after all the shit they did to me, my friends and my family. No one fucks with anyone I love" I say with an annoyed look as I look her dead in the eyes.

"fine but before it spreads come back and get your family so we can survive together with your friends, and I promise not to embarrass you in front of any crushes that you'll have" she says as she gives me a joking look. I roll my eyes and smile at her.

I finish packing my guns along with their ammo and my gun belt and I pack some clothes in a small duffle bag and I pack some of my converse in with my clothes and I put my bags by my bed room door as I change into a purple plaid shirt with black ripped jeans I got from hot topic and I put my black combat boots on. I clean my hipster looking glasses for the 100th time and I look at my mom. She smiles at me and I smile at her in return.

"Be careful ok?" I say as I pull her in a hug

" You too and make sure to stop by your dad's and tell him what your planning on doing" my mom says as she releases me from the hug.

"I told him and he should be here any minute" I say as my dad walks in

"hey kiddo" My dad says as he tussles my hair. I give him a pissed look as I fix my hair and he laughs at me

"hey dad" I say

"Be careful coming back to get us" he says as he hugs me 

"I will dad." I reply as I release him from the hug

I walk to my sisters room and see that she's still asleep. I smile as I walk over to her right side of her bed and kiss her forehead and I close the door to her room. I walk back to the door of my mom's apartment and I grab my bags and put them in my car. 

I start up my car and wave goodbye to my parents. I get to the lab with 5 minutes to spare and I rush to the locker room and I shove the bags in my locker and I grab my lab coat  and walk over to Corben's desk and see that he's there.

"Today's the day Corbs" I whisper to him

"Yep. Really for those assholes to pay for what they did?" he whispers back

"Hell yea" I whisper back as I do some of my work and turn it in. Then I wait for Corben to get done with his work.

~time skip cuz i don't feel like typing all of the other shit~

"Hey, Kenzie  go grab Sarah and Kaden and head to the lab" He whispers to me

I nod and I go grab Sarah and Kaden. At first I thought I saw Sarah flirting with Kaden but my imagination I guess. 

"Hey guys, come on we have work to do in the lab lets go" I say to them trying not to look suspicious.

I walk to the lab with Sarah and Kaden and meet corben at the doors.

"Sarah, Kaden I need you two here guarding the doors and come to us if someone come" Corben tells them

"ok" Sarah and Kaden say in unison

~time skip. you already know what happens~

I get in my car with Sarah and I head to my mom's house only to step on the brakes to see it on fire. 

"MOM! DAD! ALEXIS!" I scream as I run to my moms now burning house.

"KENZIE! DON'T!" I hear Sarah yell but I ignore her as I run into the apartment and I see my mom, dad, and sister in a group hug trapped by a small wall of burning wood.

"MOM! DAD! LEXI!" I yell to them 

My mom  and dad look at me with a sad look and they smile at me. 

"its ok honey" My mom says 

"Mom let me get you out of there" I say as I try to move the burning wood

"no Kenzie, you need to go. " my dad says

"No dad I-" I say as my dad cuts me off

"NO KENZIE JUST GO! GO!" My dad yells at me

I look at my mom with tears streaming down my face. "Its ok Kenzie. Go." I look at my family one more time and I say "i love you guys" 

"we love you too" they say back in unison. Then suddenly the roof caved in on them and crushes them.

"NOOOO!" I scream as I felt someone pull me out if the burning building.

"Kenzie are you ok?!" Sarah loomed over me looking down at me. I sob into her shoulder and she hugs me.

We get back in my truck and I found my locket with my family's picture in it I put it on and I swore to never take it off.

TOP O' THE MORNIN' TO YA LADDIES MY NAME IS KENZSEPTICEYE AND WELCOME BACK TO A NEW CHAPTER!  Hey guys sorry its been a while since i've last updated but I've been busy with school work and I'm already failing my physical science class but I'm studying really hard so I can boost up my grade so I don't get held back. And also sorry for the feels but I'm not in the best of mood but I had to end it with my boyfriend since I knew that my dad was finding out about him and I didn't want to get in trouble and also lose my dad's trust again. So I'm a little depressed about it but I'll be ok....I think I don't know I'll see what happens over the next couple of days or weeks and see how life goes.
