- Nooo waaay, you did not actually say that! –laughed Georgie.

- Oh yes, I did – said Callie – and then they all turned red and just started looking down at their feet!

We all burst out laughing. We were walking down a street, I had no idea what its name was, but Julie was sure there had to be a club round the corner. We were a bit tipsy, well, maybe a bit more than tipsy. We started off the night at our favourite bar, and you see, they had this cocktail night, where you get 2 for 1…

-I told you! It so is there! – Julie shouted suddenly, and she started jumping up and down. Needless to say, she almost fell doing that in her unrealistically high heels.

- Alright, you were right, is that what you wanted to hear?- I asked, still laughing.

-Hey ladies!- a voice came from behind us. We didn’t even turn around, just smiled at each other. It was clearly some drunk bloke trying to get lucky. Julie turned around to check them out, and pulled a face at them, then turned to us and pointed her thumb downwards. We all laughed at that, she clearly didn't like an of those guys then.

- Naah, they’re way too posh, just look at them- one of the guys shouted. And they went on with their drunken chat, I tuned out after about 5 seconds.

We got to the entrance, and the girls were already starting dancing, since the music was so loud we could hear it clearly ont he outside too. We walked, or rather, danced inside, the security person beaming at us in the door. Might have been because I had a balloon attached to my wrist, saying Birthday Girl, and also some pink bunny ears on my head, which I got from Callie.

There were loads of people inside, tha place was packed, and at the bar there was qiute a queue. Not a problem for Julie, who was already ordering for us, I couldn’t figure out how she did that. Grace genuinely talked a few guys into leaving their table so we could have it. I might have seen her kiss one of the guys, but  I wasn’t sure, and it didn’t really bother me anyways. I was so happy just being with them for my birthday. We just chatted there for some time, drinking stuff and laughing histerically.

- Do you remember that night, when you met Barry?- asked Julie cheekily.

- Oh no, pleeease can we not talk about that? – I said with fake annoyance- All of you said he’s such a great guy blablabla… and then, he peed on the street on our first date?!

- Wish I could have been there- said Callie.

- You don’t, believe me.

- Well, none of us knew his previous girlfriends, you see…- Grace tried to save their own butts.

- Now what about Mr Big then, ha, Julie?- it was my turn now, if she wanted to play this game, I was all in. They all laughed out loud, and Georgie stuck her pinky finger out, which made us laugh even more.

- How was I supposed to know what was in there? It was your boyfriend who introduced us. He never warned me the guy was so small!- Julie still hated to be remembered of that New Year’s Eve, but she laughed with the rest of us anyways. I remember how we teased her with this for weeks, we pointed at her with our pinky fingers all the time, and every single time she turned bright red.

- Here’s to us getting with the wrong guys so many times! – Callie toasted, and we all raised our glasses and clinked them.

- Oh my God! This song is awesome! Let’s dance!- Grace yelled. So we got up quickly and started dancing.

I could feel someone watching me, but I didn’t think about it for long, because there were a ton of people around us. We all went real crazy when our all-time favourite party song, Umbrella by Rihanna came on. We danced to that on our graduation party, many years ago. When it ended, I told the girls I had to go to the loo, and made my way. You know you’ve probably had a bit more than you were meant to when you start talking to your image in the mirror… I only noticed because some girls were staring at me. Obviously, I didn’t really care, I was having the time of my life.
