"Hmmm." Duke said, lightly tapping his chin. "I think we can do it tonight.""We have all the supplies." Siren nodded.
"It's going to be a tough battle, but we know what to do." Aardy in all seriousness.
The three were in the Factory Room, looking at the catalog of what inventory they had at the factory; food, clothing, supplies, whirring technology and the like. A decision had been made about the upcoming future.
Duke's dark hair concealed his face as his eyes downcast. "So it's agreed then."
The group confirmed with nods and yeses.
"We're really doing this." Siren put a hand on Duke's shoulder. "Are we sure though?"
"After everything that's been happening, we need to do something about it."
"I think we are." Aardy said.
Duke sighed, "Hm. You know, I didn't really feel like cooking tonight. But this does sound like fun. Soup night it is then!"
"Whoop whoop!" Aardy clapped her hands excitedly.
Soup night was a pretty big deal in the castle, considering Mack n' cheese was one of the more dominant things on the menu. It was a time when everyone actually got together to help out and eat at the table.
They get this huge pot (That Aardy calls the Witch Cauldron, since it looks like the big bowl witches would hover over and make potions in) and fill it with all sorts of broth, vegetables and the like to make the ultimate soup. The Factory room had a pretty nice supply of different kinds of noodles and ramen things they could mix in too.
It was basically a big, varied, potluck soup. Magic.
"Aardy, why don't you go spread the news to the rest of the castle members? We're going to need all hands on deck." Siren said.
Aardy saluted. "On it!" She bounded off to just that.
"She's not going to go wake up Grit is she?" Duke said. "I mean, Grit does need her sleep."
Siren blinked. "I did tell Aardy we needed all hands on deck, my bad."
"Once there's a mention of soup night Grit won't mind. She's an avid soup fan." He shrugged.
Aardy skipped down the hall, keeping a hand on the crisp wallpaper. She came across Tenor and attacked him with a bear hug. He stepped back with the surprise of a small human colliding with him.
She released him from her hold and excitedly started talking with him. "Tenor! Duke and Siren said we can have soup night tonight."
Tenor smiled. "Sounds like groundbreaking stuff, Aardy. Very great."
"My job is to tell everyone about!" She said before dashing off, her excitement practically carrying her from the hall. He waved at her general direction before she retreated to her next victim.
Veil stretched, holding the watering can in one hand, taking a break from tending to the plants.
Her head inclined to the side as she heard the doors open and close from the other side of the Greenhouse.
"Veeeil." Aardy called into the greenhouse. "I am in dire need of your help!"
Veil stood still, trying to decide if she should pretend not to be present.
Aardy was already making her way to Veil though, as she could hear the leaves shuffling as she got closer.
"Veil!" Aardy's head popped into view. She ran over to the lady and jumped in front of her.
