I feel like the middle of school year drags a hell of a lot. Maybe not for others, but the first half of my school year in year 10 was definitely. here's why.
-
I had a few friends but there was my best friend, Zoe. We do everything together. I was her best friend, she was mine. Nothing could make us say no. We told each other everything because we had no one else to tell. We told each other our crushes and all what not.
We didn't tell anyone our secrets.
-
"Lucy!" She called over. I walked out of my tutor, seeing as it was time, and she had a red, blushed grin on her face. "Right, new secret!" She grinned even more which I didn't know was possible. I squealed and got excited. She walked me into the corridor corner and whispered his name.
"Leonardo DiCaprio!" She winked.
"Really? I don't really see it?" I lied. I've never ever lied to her before. But Leonardo was too perfect to admit I liked him. It doesn't make sense but in my situation, it does.
"What!" She yelled. "How?" She yelled louder. I pressed my finger again my puckered lips and told her to shhh.Walking to the cafe, Leonardo walked past us and she started to squeal. He gave a slight smirk at her.
-
Zoe and I were not popular at all. But we wasn't extremely ugly and geeky. Sure, we had a few freckles and she wore glasses but we wasn't at all geeks. We were nice, genuine but just a bit crazy. Zoe had dead straight, black hair which grew down to her bottom. Yet her dark, caramel brown eyes mixed in with her tanned dark skin.
I had light blonde, wavy hair and was nearly to my bottom. My eyes were a light green and so huge.
-
All day, Zoe wouldn't stop talking about how he smiled at her. She kept dreaming and drooling. That was all she did. Oh, and moan about how I didn't find him gorgeous.
Our last lesson, science, came up and we were dreading it. Our teacher was strict, extremely tall and hated every student there possibly is in the world. I kinda feel sorry for her kids.
As we walked in, we sat next to each other and opened our books. We were lucky, we had a table to ourselves and everyone else had to sit in groups of 7 and not with their friends. Okay, the teacher maybe liked us a little bit more than the others.
"Hi, is this S4?" A quiet voice asked at the door which interrupted the silence in the class. Everyone gazed up and which spotted, especially, Zoe and I eye's was Leonardo. Zoe tried to keep in her scream and she gasped a little. I quickly looked round at her and she was grinning non stop with excitement in her eyes.
"Yes, Leonardo right?" The teacher, Miss Zele, asked. He nodded a little scared. I found it cute. "If you sit there for now, I'm sure you'll be fine." The teacher pointed in the chair in front of us. ON OUR TABLE!
He looked over to our red shocked faces and smiled a little, tensely scared. Throwing his bag under the table, he plotted on the seat and started to write his name on his new book.
"Hi," Zoe whispered, in the silence. After a few seconds, Leonardo looked up slowly and smiled confusingly.
"Hey," he raised his eyebrow causing a strand of his long, dirty blonde hair to fall in his ocean like, eclectic light blue eyes. He carried on writing in his book.Zoe threw her hand out for him to shake, "I'm Zoe, this is Lucy." I could hear in her voice she was shaking. He grabbed her hand and shook it gently.
"You're very sweet." He finally came out of his shell. She blushed. "I'm Leonardo, but please call me Leo." He nodded. We both looked down at our feet, smiling.
"You not gonna shake my hand, Lucy?" He asked. I looked up at his glaring at me with those eyes. Him saying my name sounded incredible. And even him looking at me causes a thousand shivers float upon my body.
