The Trojan Camp

Chapter Six

      Sera's P.O.V.

     Time for a new week. Myself and ten other people were helping everyone else learn how to ride, we were doing large group lessons on the beach and in the two arenas. Over the next couple weeks the entire camp knew how to ride, but only the basics so far. that skill would come in handy soon.

     "We are back", Colton yelled as they returned from the depths of the world.

     "You found nothing", Mr. Yates said to them as a sudden jolt went under our feet. I thought I heard some shrieks, not all from girls.

     All of us went to the forest where the rumbling came from. About ten or more girls came out of the woods, one looking much older than the others in the front of the pack. That's when I realized these were the hunters of Artemis and that is Artemis. I look on in shock as the camp leaders bow, the rest of us following their lead.

     "Welcome to The Trojan Camp hunters", Ms. Avila says to the women as Artemis nods looking around.

     "You may have a wolf problem", she says looking around at us.

    We all look at her in shock as the hunters behind her nod in agreement. 

    "I hear you have horses. Use them my demigods!" Artemis yell out at us as we rush off to the stable to get our horses, on our way there we make a game plan.

      "Ok we split into groups of maybe two to three and search the entire perimeter of the camp", Aaron says to us we mount our horses and nod at the some time. 

     I go off with Chase and one other person I believe Dionysus' son named Ian Sane or something, sounds like Insane to me. We all go our separate ways as we partrol the border. I hear a small voice cry out from inside the woods. I pull Archer, my horse he was larger than some, but he was the most pretty coloring of different shades of gray, to where the voice is coming from. When I get there I see a small, fragile girl underneath a much larger wolf. Her green eyes showed nothing, but fear and her mber colored hair was swept up in a ponytail. I begin to run over but am held back by a strong arm. I look up the Artemis herself holding me back.

      "Let me child", she tells me.

     She runs in silently as the girl sees Artemis she smiles to herself, but is cut off by a snarl of the wolf that leaves her frightened again. Artemis yells out to get the wolf's attention.

     "Get Amber",she tells me.

      I run in and get the girl out of harms way. Out of the corner of my eye I see Chase come over to me. Along with my other new friends.

      "Help me get her to the imfirmary", I say firmly to my friends as they nod to me.

      I hand her over the Hudson as her carries her over to the medical tent, I see Briar look kind of mad. Once we get in the tent we see Ms. Avila, she rushes over to us and directs us to put her on one of the beds. After that we leave and go back to the forest where Artemis is talking to a boy that none of us know, he has green eyes with dirty blonde hair, so like the people that we are we go over there to see what is going on.

      "What is going on Artemis, what happened to the wolf?" I ask questioning the goddess.

      "I am talking to the wolf right now", she says calmly as if not to anger the boy.

      I look around at the campers surrounding us.

      "Give the goddess some space!" Chase says to the gathering crowd, they begin to dissperss after he says that, Artemis smiles back at him.

      "Thank you demigod", she says to him, and then goes back to talking with the boy.

      The four of us go off on our own for a while, on top of our new steeds we run around the training paddock for a while until some others come into the paddock, then we leave to go put our steeds back.

      "What do you think happened today?" Briar says to us all, the cheery funny mood was gone and all of us wanted it back.

      "No idea,but maybe we could ask the girl when she wakes up", Chase says 

      "No", I say sternly to them, "Something tells me she is going to be traumatised after that".

      They all nod and we walk back to our cabins for the night. The next morning this light shines over the camp that puts all of us in better moods for breakfast.

Chase's P.O.V.

      Time to eat! I get up from my bed in my lonely cabin, I hope I get some siblings soon. Going to breakfast I see some hunters.

      "Hi there", I say to them as they look at me with disgust. "What I showered yesterday". I say to them.

      "Ummm Chase they hate men remember", I hear Briar say from in front of me, then I facepalm.
