Dally and I were standing at the front desk, waiting for a nurse to come and finally really legally release me from this miserable and horrible hell hole they call a hospital, full of people who are Satan worshipers who visit their daughters who had just been raped by a bunch of 17-25 year old men. I don't enjoy "bragging" about my parents, but when I do I make sure I mention something about how much of demons they are. The nurse came to the counter and took one look at me, she knew who I was and searched for my name. " Aleshiana Jane McGoth, here you are. Just sign here, I don't think it matters if your not 18 yet, I don't think your parents are coming." I looked at her to make sure she never used my full name again. Another thing about hospitals, they use your real names. I hated my full name, my parents gave it to me. Dally obviously stared at me and whispered," so Aleshiana, you should probably sign some papers." I didn't even wanna look at him, so I didn't and just signed the papers and walked straight to the car without saying a word. Dallas said as soon as he got into the car," why didn't you tell me that your real name was Aleshiana?" I looked at him," Do I have to tell you that? I just hate that name, so I shortened it and called myself Alicia." I could tell he was just staring at me, and so I said," I hate my parents. I don't want anything to do with them. We should just get married as soon as we can so I can get out." He grabbed the back of my neck (not like he was going to kiss me)and said," you've been dreamin too much kid." I just smiled as he started driving to the Curtis house. I actually wasn't sure why he was bringing me to their house and not Two bit's. Then I realized that I hadn't been working for over weeks now... I'm probably (hopefully) fired by now. I turned my head over to Dally's and said," I think before we go to the Curtis house we need to drop by Donald's." He looked at me and said," Why would you wanna go there?" I said," I'm gonna quit... If I haven't been fired already." He looked back at the road and turned in that direction. As we drove up to the parking lot of Donald's I noticed that Donald was standing outside talking to his landlord, and you won't believe the next part. He was CLOSED DOWN! This was great, while I was stuck in the Hell hole of the hospital I realized that I shouldn't be sleeping around anymore for money. I was tired of it and it was one of the reasons that I had gotten raped that night. We pulled up right next to Donald, I got out of the car, Dally I think tried to say something but he never got it out in time. I walked right up to Donald. He greeted," Hey Doll, what are you doin' here? I thought you quit when you didn't show up for the past two weeks." I looked at him and said," Well, I was in the hospital for the past two weeks, what happened here?" He replied," I decided to stop gabbling and save all of the money I've earned over the years, since you were gone I didn't want to be running a illegal business anymore." Yeah, he was that big of a scum bag to have kept all of his money to himself. I'm not sayin I wanted to still work there or anything, but I still didn't get my last pay check. So I spoke up about it," I never got my last paycheck." He whipped out his pocket book and started writing," You know, I think you were the only girl keepin me still in business. Your so smart and beautiful, who wouldn't wanna fuck you?" I never liked Donald, like I said he was a scum bag. I just stared at the check waiting to get out of there, Dally and his car were right next to me the whole time with the window rolled down. I was giving Donald a dirty look by then. He gave me the check and as I walked away he smacked my ass. I sat back down in the car as Dally drove off in a mad dash. Dally said," who was that, your boyfriend?" I shook my head," No, my ex-boss... now. " Dally said," who does he think he is? He shouldn't act that way." I replied," He just think's he can make me do whatever he wants at anytime. Don't worry bout him Dal, he's harmless now. I quit for a reason." Dally replied," Alicia, The place closed down." I nodded," Yet I know him too well, he still has a business he's running somewhere else." We were quite for a while as Dally drove down 189th street to head over to Ponyboy's house for a reason I still am not sure of.
We parked right outside of the house. I could almost see the silhouette of Two bit's face. I looked at Dally as he walked over to open my door for me. He opened the door and said," You need to close our eyes now." I was giving him the weirdest look as I stood up. He said," just close them I'll lead you into the door." "ok" I said. I closed my eyes as Dally put his hands on my shoulders leading me into the door. Everyone inside screamed " surprise!" Johnny yelled," Welcome back!" I was so Happy, a little surprised, but sooo happy. People actually genuinely cared about me, ME! Just for being me. Just for being there, for living! There was a cake on the table that said " welcome home!" and everyone signed it- Sodapop, Ponyboy, Twobit, Johnny, Dally, Darry, even Steve was there and signed the cake in frosting too! Everyone came up and Hugged me and all I said was," I'm so happy to be here with you guys." We dug into the cake while watching Psycho on TV. We couldn't believe that creepy movie was on. I sat next to Dally, I didn't dare touch him because I know how big of a deal everyone would have made about it. By the time we were done with all of that it was 6:00. The movie ended, Johnny and Ponyboy were scared someone was going to come in and murder them. Soda and Steve stopped watching in the middle of the movie and started playing cards. Darry got bored too and cleaned up the kitchen. Twobit, Dally, and I ended up just watching the movie. By the time it was over I didn't realized it but I leaned my head on Dally's shoulder and he didn't say anything about it. Two bit came over to us, stared at me for a second then said ( may I add he said this really loudly)" Get a room," and walked off. Dally then playfully pushed me off of him, and I guess I lost all of my strength and fell over on the coach, which made everything worse because my butt was now right up against his leg. I was kinda just laying there as Two bit walked in to make another remark. He said," Wowha, I didn't think you'd actually do anything bout it." I started blushing, Dallas started getting mad. Like the embarrassing kinda mad. I didn't want Dally and Two bit to get into a fist fight so I did the best thing to prevent that. I kissed Dallas Winston. Yep I planted one right on his lips and got him to calm down while exciting Two Bit. Then I said," Yeah, well now I did somethin about it." Dally smirked, I smirked, while Two Bit was standing in total surprise. Yeah, I showed him up. Two Bit said after a long while," Dally, I thought you were done with girls?" Dally said," I didn't kiss her, she kissed me." awh man, really? Done with girls? Did he really say that? I just kinda stared at him. Two Bit walked away satisfied, he didn't want me to date Dally because he was such a playboy. Dally whispered," I just said that so then he would get off my ass about you." Then he hugged me. I giggled. Then he whispered," Do you wanna go to the movies on Friday?" I looked at him and whispered," isn't that tomorrow?" He said," yeah." I said," ok, I'll go." He whispered," good." and then he kissed me on the cheek.
