Shadows In The Dark

Chapter 5

Kat's Destination. (Kat's P.O.V)

I was at my house feeling terrible that I couldn't help Shadow. Then it dawned on me, there was an abandoned hospital near town and she could be there.

I was walking there and I swear I saw a person get run over but the car kept going like nothing happened so I went over to see if they were ok but I had this feeling that they were dead but went over anyway. As I got nearer to the person I noticed that they were still breathing which was a good thing but as I got even closer I noticed he had pure black eyes but I thought my mind was just playing tricks on me so I went right over to see him and when I looked at him, he jumped at me then disappeared and I was so shocked that I just froze in the middle of the road nearly getting hit by a huge lorry. He asked me if I needed a lift so I said yes, he asked where I wanted to go, I said the old hospital and he looked at me as if I was crazy.

We reached the hospital and he literally pushed me out of the lorry and drove off. I walked to the doors of the hospital and when I got closer, it felt like it was getting colder.

I walked inside to darkness and nothingness. I tried to guide my way through the creepy hallways and peek through the the gaps in the doors but found nothing. I went to the second floor and saw a light coming from the very back door. I walked forward to the door but walked into a wall because it was super dark.

I finally reached the door and peeked through but saw nothing but a lot of dead people. I tried to see if Shadow or Josh was in that room along with the unknown dead people but they weren't which was probably a good thing.

I went to the second floor and it was so bright but no rooms so they were definitely not there so I went back to the door to the stairs down but there was no door back so now I was stuck in a creepy abounded hospital with no way out. I felt like I was getting watched but the place was empty so no one could hide in here.

I saw a shadow on the wall but no one was there still and it wasn't my shadow either which was strange because my shadow wasn't even there. I really wanted out of there but there was no doors or windows. The shadow started moving but when I looked there was more of them getting closer then I realised that I now had a shadow and they looked like the other shadows were after mine and then they looked like they had a knife and stabbed my shadow but when I looked down I was stabbed so I started banging on the walls which failed because no one could hear me but I tried anyway. I looked round to see my shadow but it was lying still. The last thing I saw was darkness...
