Shadows In The Dark

Chapter 3

It has been a fortnight since Josh a
had disappeared and I was losing hope of him being alive and the Dumbo hasn't called for ages. The police has done nothing about it, all they done is ask me some questions which I wasn't paying attention to.

Dumbo called for once but I wasn't sure if I should answer it but I did anyway.

"What you want now, Dumbo?"

"Hmmm..... I killed Josh last week and if you dare tell the police or anyone about these calls I will blow you up, got it?"

"If you didn't want me to tell anyone then why would you tell me then, and anyway if I did tell anyone how the hell would you know, and even if you did know then you would have already been arrested by then so you couldn't blow me up, Dumbo"

"Actually good point.... but remember you don't know who I am, I could be one of the officers, family members or just someone you know or don't know."

"Oh shut it Dumbo!!"

"Okay I will shut it"

.....

"I will definitely use this fork when I find out who Dumbo is"

A day passed and I was waiting for Dumbo calling again but sometimes he doesn't call for ages so I just went out to meet with my friend, Katharine (kat.)

"Hey Kat, how are you?" I asked while she was putting on her makeup like usual, "Fine, what about you?"
She asked with a tiny bit of enthusiasm, "not so great, Kat" I muttered, "awww, why not?" She asked sounding like she was talking to a 5 year old not wanting to play with someone, "well..... Josh had gone missing a couple of weeks ago...." I explained trying not to cry, "Omg!! I feel soo sorry for you, I hope he's okay!" Once again sounding like she was talking to a 5 year old, "me too..."
I said hopeful even though I knew he was definitely not okay.

After a long time of silence, her phone rang and it was Dumbo's number and I dreaded to think what he was gonna say...

"Hello Katherine... Is Shadow there with you?"

"Uh... who exactly is this?"

"Doesn't matter who it is, all that matters is who you are with"

"Well... uh yeah, shadow is here..... why?"

"No reason other than I'm in the same park as you but I could be anyone.... so look out!"

.....

"What did they say!?" I asked desperately to know, "uh.... they said that they were in the park but we didn't know who it was...' She sounded so worried, "we need to get out of here!" I. lightly shouted so no one could hear. So we sprinted off to Kat's house but someone was chasing us and I had this feeling it was Dumbo and it wasn't gonna end well.......
