"My name is Filia," the pale girl said. I put my hands on her shoulders in a protective
manner. I knew my master was not welcoming of strangers.

"I expect you to explain all of this, Sebastian," Ciel was staring me down. I couldn't bear to look him in the face. But I held his stare no matter my feelings. I had no choice.

"Yes, my Lord. But first, I must serve your dinner," I allowed myself a smirk. Escorting the two humans to the dining room, I set before my master a dish of exquisitely prepared fish while I served a chunk of raw meat to the young lady. The earl's face was quite amusing as he watched her devour her meal. After supper I showed Filia her quarters and she retired for the night. Returning to Ciel I found him exploding with questions unanswered.

"Who is she?" my master demanded, "Where is she from?"

"It's a long tale, young lord," I replied vaguely. I gazed into Ciel's blue eye. It's depth never ceased to amaze me. His thin arms trembled as his heart was overwhelmed with emotions.

"Answer my question, you bastard!" Ciel almost spat in my face, but I didn't flinch. "You brought a pregnant woman into the manor, and you won't tell me why!? I want an explanation from you. And cut it short, I don't need long sappy stories."

"Yes, of course. Forgive my insolence, master," I made an apologetic bow and continued, "To 'cut the story short,' Filia is my daughter." His jaw dropped open, his eyes went wide. Poor child, must be too much of a shock for him.

"You have a daughter?" He asked incredulously, "Tell me more."

"Years ago," I began, "I had a contract, my mistress was a vampire. She is gone now, but our daughter remains." That was all the information I offered and he demanded no more. We stood in silence. Ciel stared absently at the wall. Time passed, but neither of us moved.

"How many have you had?" Ciel whispered, almost to himself.

"How many what?" I answered. He looked a bit startled at my words. We had never discussed my past before. It was a bit uncomfortable.

"How many contracts," He clarified, clearing his throat.

"Hundreds," I replied, "I've lost count exactly."

"Hundreds?" He scoffed, "I expected at least a thousand." Ciel raised his chin and our gazes locked.

"Well, I am a picky eater," I explained. A smile revealed some of my sharp edged teeth. He smirked back at me. He had no fear.

"Does my scent seduce you, Sebastian? Don't I smell delicious?" He bit his lower lip with those last words. And he was correct. His blood smelled alluring. The scent aroused within me long forgotten feelings. I had always controlled my urges, but tonight I allowed myself to play with the fancy.

"You smell heavenly," I leaned in closer, and whispered in his ear. Licking my forefinger and thumb I put out the candle and we were left in darkness. The only light was from the crescent moon through the window. Ciel leaned in closer to me.

"Want a taste?" He whispered back. And I just couldn't resist..
