Thursday 18th August
We walked slowly over to the chairs.
- I'm gonna be right back by a second.
He nodded. I ran out to the utility room, to find the first-aid kit. I searched all around the room, but I couldn't find anything. Come on! Where is it?!
Wait a second. I looked inside the last drawer again, but behind all the other stuff. There!
I hurried inside the dining room, Chan was still hiding the wound behind his hand. I sat down next to him, laying the first-aid kit on the table.
- Let me take a look of that.
Without saying anything, he put his hand away from his forehead. A big wound, almost the size of... I don't know? Maybe the size of a plum? It was, freaking GIGANTIC! And a blood drop was very slowly running down from his eyebrow.
It made me cringe. I hope he didn't saw that.
From the corner of my eye, I saw he was looking at me.
Damn it.
- Did you just cringe?
Chan asked.
- What!? No I didn't!
- You did! Oh my GOD!
He began to laugh.
- I seriously didn't cringe!
- Hahahaha!... You think it's disgusting, right?
- No, no it's just a scratch! Nothing big. At all.
- Let me decide that.
He took his smartphone out of his pocket.
If he saw the wound he wouldn't feel any better. I tried to take the phone out of his hand.
Success.
- Hey! Why did you do that? Give me my phone back!
- I don't think that's a good idea--
- Why? I can handle everything.
I looked at him like I didn't believe what he said.
He gave me the scary Kyungsoo-look.
- O.k, if you think you're so sure about it, then take a look.
I passed the smartphone to Chan, who snatched it out of my hand. He held the phone up to the wound, but the second he saw it, he cringed so much it looked like he was ugly crying. And he said this really, really weird noise, like weeping.
- Chan are you alright?
Very fast, he laid the smartphone on the dining table.
I was so close to laugh at him.
- Yeah... Yeah of course! Why shouldn't I be?
He looked at me, very sure of himself.
- Because you just, haha...over-cringed and weeped like a giant baby.
I was so broke of laughter ,that I fell of the chair.
- Hey! Don't call me that!
- Hahaha!...Why?
- Because I get to hear that EVERY-DAY... The other EXO-members call me that all the time.
- But that's CUTE!
- NO!
- Yes it is!
He crossed his arms, while he looked very irritated at me. Another Kyungsoo-look.
- But you know what? Just leave the wound to me. I'll try to remember the few things I know of how to clean it.
I said, while I gently touched the wound. Some of the blood drops was stained. He cringed again.
- Oh. Sorry for that.
I opened the first-aid kit, and tried to find some cloths to clean it.
I gently touched the wound a couple of times. I had to replace cloth, after cloth, after cloth. There was soo damn much blood on his forehead, and it was disgusting.
Chan said nothing, while I cleaned it. There was no other sound, than me touching his wound with cloths. He wasn't cringing anymore.
But then there were this weird silence.
It was weird... I felt his eyes upon me, like... almost all of the time. Once, I moved my sight down to his eyes. The second I did that, he looked away.
- You're quite good at this.
He said.
- You really think so? I'm just kind of trying to look like I know what I'm doing.
- Hahaha! Really? I thought for a second, I could get a personal nurse.
- Oh my god Chan. You're so arrogant!
- No I'm not!
- Haha! Just a little bit.
The wound wasn't as big, as it seemed. I put on a plaster to let it heal after I was done cleaning it. But how did Chan got his wound? I looked upon the wall. I just noticed a painting on the floor, that was supposed to hang on the wall. On the painting there was a stained blood spot.
Ohhh... that's why.- Now we have to wash this off.
I pointed upon the painting.
- "We"?
- Yeah. You made a mess, and there's blood on my grandparents painting. It's not easy to clean something with blood on it, and even harder, when it's clotted.
- Ehmmm, no I'm not.
- Ehmmm, yes you are. And do me favor, get me a bucket of hot water, and a bunch of sponges'.
- You can't force me, and you're not my mom.
- No. But it's my grandparents house. And I , who thought you respected grandparents and old people?
- Ahhhhhhh! I hate when you're right!
He yelled with a irritated voice, on his way out, going to the utility room.
- And don't forget to make the water soapy!
- You're not funny!
After 10 minutes, he came with a plastic bucket of soapy water, and a bunch of sponges'.
- Are you happy now?
- Pretty much!
He looked so irritated at me.
I just smiled like a fool.
He began to laugh.
