Chapter 14

XIV

She looked at the copper drink in her glass as she spinned her cup. She had been sitting in the office for over two hours waiting for the man she used to call her husband. When he entered, she looked up to him.

  "Natalia, what are you doing here?"

  She swirled her drink some more. When she had heard that her husband had been helping that vile woman, she had grown so furious. How could he betray her like that? Did he not know what that woman is capable? She manipulated their son, brainwashed him into loving her cheating ass. She shook her head, she hadn't been there to argue about that. That can wait for another day. She had been there to arrange a meeting to see her grandson, she just want to get to know him. Then make him believe his mother is no good for him or for his father.

  "I just came to see if you can arrange for me to see my grandson Michael. I have every right to see him and to meet him, he is my grandson after all."

  Gregori shook his head, he had expected this to come from his ex wife. She would come to his office to demand him this at a time like this. Right when he needed to contact their son to come to the office for some paperwork that he needs to sign and to schedule a lunch with Conrad Beverly to discuss the hospitality branch of both their businesses.

  "I agree that you have every right to meet your grandson but I cannot grant you that wish. For in the custody hearing we had a short time ago, both Nikolai and Camden agreed that you shall not see your grandson for you will only manipulate him to do your doing. They do not want that and I agree with them. You can go to court with them but as the boy's parents, they have the final say in who gets to meet their child. His name is not Michael, it is Michelangelo Nikolai Gabrielli, he likes to go by Mickey. At least get his name right, now will you please do me the honor and leaving my office, I have many things to do and I need my space."

  Natalia scuffed and left, she will get her way, no matter what happens. She will see her grandson one way or another.

Nikolai had kicked her out of his apartment, she knew that would happen, but what she didn't think would happen was to find his ex wife there in his shirt and only his shirt. She thought he would be alone but she had been wrong. She did not expect to see his ex wife or especially that he had a kid. Where did that come from? She had not been told that there had been a kid involved. She did not sign up this, she signed up to get Nikolai away from his ex wife, she didn't know that also involved taking him away from a little boy, who to be honest is super cute. But that is besides the point, she walked to her car and pulled out her phone to call a number. The phone rang three times before the caller answered.

  "You never said anything about there being a little boy involved. You never said that Nikolai had a son. Why was that not mentioned?"

  The caller sighed, she knew this would come up.

  "I didn't say anything because I knew you wouldn't have agreed to help me out, I know you, you would never take a guy away from his son. But I had told him time and time again that if he didn't help me then he would have to pay. Now are you going to help me or do I have to make you help me? I can still call your ex boyfriend and tell him what you did Estacia. You choose."

  Estacia really didn't want her secret to get out in the open so she sighed heavily and nodded.

  "Okay Candace, you win... Again... Now what do you want me to do? I went to his apartment but Camden had been there with the boy. She had been in just his shirt, his button down shirt. She looked comfortable in his house."

  Candace shook her head and rolled her eyes.

  "Of course she would be comfortable in his house, she once lived there obviously. Are your that stupid to forget that? Now thing Estacia, think real hard. What do you have to do next? You need to get him alone and then you need to work your charm on him like you did all those years ago. Camden thinks I had been the one that got in between them, that's how Natalia wanted it but in reality we all know it had been your bed that he kept warm. This is all of Natalia's fault that I lost my man but I am getting him back, don't you worry, I will. I just need to do this to get Nikolai back for not helping me. Now do as you were told or I will end you Estacia Delgado, I will end you."

  With that Candace hung up the phone and Estacia drove away from the penthouse. She really needed to tell someone what the plans were. She couldn't keep her mouth shut any longer. So she decided to drive to her ex fiance's house. She knocked on the door and waited. After two minutes, he finally came to the door. He hadn't changed much but she hadn't been expecting him to.

  "Estacia? What are you doing here?"

  She looked into his brown eyes.

  "Eli, hi. Uh can I come in?"

  Eli looked at her like she had grown a second head.

  "What for? So you can get my hopes up and betray me again? No thanks."

  She stopped him before he could leave.

  "Please, I don't know what to do anymore. I have no one to turn to, please, I can't keep this to myself anymore."

  He sighs and lets her in. He leads her to the living room where they once shared a romantic evening all those years ago.

  "Look Eli, I did something I am not proud of while I had been with you. And now I am paying for that. You see, Candace has been blackmailing me for the past two years. Her and mrs. Gabrielli had me get in between Nikolai Gabrielli and his wife Camden. I did that and it worked, but since they are starting to get close again, Mrs. Gabrielli and Candace are having me try to get in between them again, but this time it is different. I can't do it because there is a little boy involved. Camden had a boy with Nikolai and I can't separate a boy from his father... Not again..."

  Eli looked at her with a blank stare.

  "You already told me this, why are you telling me this again? Are you trying to rub it in my face that Nikolai has his son and I don't have mine? I don't have the son that I have always wanted but you are keeping away from me? Why the fuck are you here?! Are you trying to get pity from me?! You want my help?! I will only help you under one condition... If you let me see Samuel. That is the only way I will help you. Only if you let me see Samuel. Do we have a deal?"

  Estacia never wanted to take her son away from his father but she had to. She had no other choice, it was either that or her parents would disown her and kick her out of the house. She had to take Samuel away from his father even if it hurt her. But it was only the right thing to do, to let him see his son. She sighs and nods.

  "Okay, I will bring him to you over the weekend. My parents have him right now and they don't want anything to do with you, that is why I kept him away. But you are right, I had no right to take him away and keep him away from you."

She got up to leave, she turns back to look at Eli.

  "If you can, convince Nikolai that I am not the bad person, or the person he has to look out for."

  Eli nods and escorts her out, he saw her get into her car and drive off. Immediately had had called Nikolai to tell him what was going on, hopefully he would believe him this time.
